I assumed that beginning this month with the new Louisiana state income tax rate my paycheck would increase but so far it’s the same as last year. Will I just get this bigger state return when I file my taxes next year?

It wouldn’t change much if you maxed out your SS tax last year then reset this year. Not sure how much the state income tax changed for LA.

Do you get paid on the 1st and 15th?

If so your check on the 1st is for hours you worked last year.

You haven't been paid for time worked this year yet.

I haven't, and I'm sure most haven't.

Taxes are owed based on when the taxpayer receives payment, not when the hours were worked or the time period when interest is accrued.

There is a possibility that whoever runs your payroll has not worked in all of the changes, and it can sometimes take a few checks for any tax rate changes to work through the system. If the changes do affect you, you will most likely see the correction over the next 1-2 checks and any over/underpayments will be recognized when you file your annual returns.

The state issued the new tables on 12/19 and it may take some time for your payroll provider to reflect this.

Can I find these tables online?

with the new Louisiana state income tax rate

the new rates by the state legislature that were passed a few months ago still require the voters to approve it

Same thing I was thinking. It hasn't been approved yet.
