I don’t think the Saints would ever consider hiring Dan Campbell.
Bad blood there.
On February 26, 2009, Campbell signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints, reuniting with head coach Sean Payton, who was his offensive coordinator with the Cowboys and the Giants.
On August 10, he was placed on injured reserve with an MCL injury he suffered in training camp.
He spent the entire season on injured reserve and was not granted a Super Bowl ring by the team when they won Super Bowl XLIV.

Where do y’all come from?
Campbell began his coaching career as a tight ends coach for the Miami Dolphins in 2010. He then spent two seasons as the tight ends coach for the New Orleans Saints before being promoted to assistant head coach in 2013.

only interaction I've had with him was at a Cowboys game when he played there, I took my son on the sidelines for pregame warmups, there was a line to stand behind and we were told if a ball gets loose and comes where were to leave it alone, a ball gets away and lands right at my son's feet, Campbell is coming after it and could see the look on my son's face, he said, "pick it up! show me what you've got!" he threw a couple of passes with my son and the last one he caught from my son he did the Heisman pose and went back to warmups, absolutely made my son's day, he was probably about 7 at the time
