No. I have lost 17 pounds in the last 6 months just from being nauseated.

This, and also look into trigger point injections in these same areas.

I've given 1000s of these injections to patients in the past and saw it give some incredible results/relief.

I assume you went to a neurologist? Why no contrast? Other ear type symptoms: tinnitus, aural fullness, hearing loss?

Any other neurological symptoms: paresthesias, weakness in limbs?

Is it all the time or just in episodes?

Do you spend a lot of time on a smart phone? I started to notice almost the same things, especially when I was off of work and I caught myself on my phone way too much. I was losing a ton of time a day staring at a screen and with terrible posture. My head, neck, and shoulders would just hurt like crazy and sleep was awful. I noticed days I was not on it as much I felt much better. Just a thought.

This. I get what I at first thought was sinus issues or even migraines. It would get so intense that at times just moving my head would make me feel dizzy and nauseated. I've pinpointed it to knots or trigger points in my neck and upper traps. Mostly my neck though.

When I feel a headache coming on, I use a muscle roller and push down on the knots. I can tell its working when I feel that "sweet ache" which then dissipates when the knot releases. Normally the headache is gone a few minutes after doing this.

Go see a massage therapist who specializes in trigger point therapy. Tell them your symptoms. They should able to pinpoint where your trigger points are and relax them.

I know how you feel. It sucks, but no matter the outcome, you will cope with it and your anxiety will get better.

In 2023, I woke up with severe tinnitus. A few weeks later, I was getting vertigo spells. A few weeks later, I had paresthesias in my hands, feet, legs, and face. A few weeks later I couldn’t make a firm fist with my left hand.

I finally was able to get an MRI checking for MS (my mom has MS). Found out I had a Chiari malformation. My tinnitus never went away, and I still occasionally get dizzy spells, but my parasthesias/ weakness went away.

I never had hearing loss—I presume you went to an ENT who ruled out Menieres?

I hope you get some answers soon—this is the worst part.

Have you discussed possibility of vestibular migraine with your neurologist? I’d also be interested to hear your vng results; a unilateral vestibular weakness is possible with your aural symptoms… but everything else you mentioned suggests possibility of VM. I hope you’re seeing a good audiologist for the VNG.

Went to audiologist today. Get results Tuesday. Got really dizzy in right ear with cold air the first time. They re did it to make sure it was bad and they said it was better. Hopefully they clear that up Tuesday

The dizzier you get with the cool or warm air test, the stronger your vestibular response is (meaning, it’s a good thing to get dizzy on that test; if you’re not dizzy & it’s a significant difference from the other ear, it suggests that ear is the ear with the weakness not the ear you got dizzy with).
