How about Wes Phillips for HC, grandson of Bum, and current OC for Vikings?

I know he is not the play-caller for the Vikings, but he's been there for a few years and presumably has learned a lot from Kevin O'Connel. He's also been part of the McVay crew since the Redskins days under Jay Gruden. O'Connel and all the other Shanahan and McVay protégés that got head coaching jobs were not play-callers either. O'Connel is about to win COY.
He did have a DUI last year pled down to careless driving, so make of that what you will.

Huge fan of O’connell, and coaching is definitely in his blood lol. He would definitely bring the right system, so I wouldn’t mind it

Not a bad thought. The offspring of some other former Saints HC are doing good jobs currently and should get a look:
Mike Nolan (son of a Dick) is Michigan Panthers Coach. He’s coached linebackers for the Saints and LSU under Arnsparger and is credited for turning 49ers around in the late 2000s.
Jim L Mora: Currently coaching UConn and likes to have them trending in right direction. His dad Jim is 89 (but looks 70) and also should have his tires kicked if we want to try the Marv Levy route.
I would take both Moras over any of the water carrying Nick Underhill suggestions thus far.
