Our public school system which is ran by the federal government is producing millions of graduates who have 5th grade level reading and math skills because they are more worried about teaching kids how to anal sex with bright rainbows

Good luck with that.

It’s not run by the federal government, but it is ruined by the federal government.

When Kruschev said "we will defeat you from within" he foretold what was going to happen. When people give goooooooooberment too much control, especially with our minds, what exactly do you think is supposed to happen?

In the long run, I think the “parallel economy” will solve much of this.

-Small private school cooperatives
-Non-Main Street entertainment and media
-Private clubs, gated communities, etc.

More and more people are realizing that all aspects of mainstream society are just weird and fake.

Can the new administration change this ugly situation and make it better in the next 4 years?

Is there any way to do it?

There are plenty of qualified Americans. If you paid any attention to these discussions and all the links provided, rather than crying that people dare to take a stand against Trump's abandonment of America First, you would know this.

Team Trump has completely fallen apart over H1B. Every one of you was told about this H1B thing back in June when he went on All In, and every one of you ignored it or made excuses for it.

If that's the concern then that's even more of a reason not to bring in indians or chinese.

Shut down Dept of Ed and send a portion of its budget back to the Treasury and the remaining portion, send direct to the states, and I mean in cash on a flat bed truck. Pull up and make the governor sign for it, put it on video, so all state residents now know who to talk to about education - the state government. When people see pallets of cash and understand the governor now has complete discretion on how it's used for education, they will begin making phone calls and steer dollars where they want them. They will also pay more attention to state elections.

It is in the best interest of each state to build the best educational system it can. Once you take the federal mandates out of it, states and localities get freedom to do things how they see fit. Some communities will defund public education by quite a bit and go private. Their taxes will fall at the local level. Let them make that choice.

Some thoughts from Thomas Sowell.

And because they keep lowering the bar of educational standards to, um, combat racism or something.

This is not true at all. And even if it were true, why would you ever want to lay off American workers for immigrants?

The Republican party wants to layoff American workers for immigrants. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

You're assuming that graduates from America are not qualified and that there are no America graduates looking for jobs.

I've worked with recent grads from both. No group is more special than the other.
