I don't agree with them but what I mean by putting myself in his shoes, I get it

My biggest issue is that I didn't care for the way he insulted American workers and American culture. No matter how eloquently he tried to convey it, that was a terrible message.

He also fails to understand that we need more of the culture he referenced. Zack and Slater types should be fed to more young men these days vs the crap kids and teens grow up on now. Zack and Slater were jocks and manly. It was jocks drinking coffee and smoking a carton a day that got us to the moon. It was those jocks who made our military the strongest in the world until woke started to be allowed to ruin it under Obama and Biden. "Jocks" built this country and everything in it up to this point.

There are plenty of those guys still out there but the tech world has demonized them and made them unhirable so those guys go into other fields and underutilize their potential. That should be the talking point. Not screaming for more H-1B visas.

If he Vivek understood America, he would have understood everything wrong with his statement but he doesn't because he's a 1st generation American raised on and still clinging to his Indian culture.

Also, he clearly showed what an opportunist he is by already letting Elon influence him enough to change one of his campaign bullet points when he was against H-1B

I will admit I bought into Vivek but for now I am off that train

Also, I know libs and Ronbots have already teamed up to shite on the Trump administration that is not even in power yet because of yesterday. That's pretty sad.

Disagreeing on one policy is not a failure of the whole administration.

I will end with an old clip of Vivek the used care salesman scamming people to get rich

maybe we have enough in the pipeline called college's here in America, that we don't need to hire brown people from a shithole country?

We could but we would have to make changes to the HR hiring practices many tech companies currently have in place and that is white guys are bad. Change that culture and you will see the same engineers that we had working on the Manhattan Project which was mostly if not all white dudes. A mixture of jock and nerds.

America was 90% white until the 1965 Immigration Act changed that and we started feeling that change in demographics in the 70s. Think about what America had built up until that point.

So did Eric Schmidt. Evidently there is a legit pattern of incompetence in American culture.

Pointing out that Vivek is exactly who a lot of us told you he was isn't shitting on any administration. It's shitting on you if anything, but I wouldn't go that far. It's just a "we told you" moment that you don't like so you have to describe it in hysterical terms.

I would venture to say that HR hiring practices is the issue. I doubt any of the women in HR are letting hard-working white guys, that don't fit the woke checkmarks, through to the second round of hiring.

The early Google engineers and execs were vastly different than the ones today. Chris Sacca is a great example.

quote:

In November 2003 Sacca was hired at Google as Corporate Counsel, where he reported to General Counsel David Drummond.[5][21] As part of the legal and business development team,[6] his first mandate was to find large amounts of data space, by negotiating and signing agreements around the world.[5] Sacca served as Head of Special Initiatives at Google Inc. leading the alternative access and wireless divisions. Among his projects were the 700 MHz and TV white spaces spectrum initiatives,[9][19] Google's data center in Oregon, and the free citywide WiFi network in Mountain View, California.[22] Sacca also led many of Google's business development and mergers and acquisitions transactions[22] and was on the founding team of the company's New Business Development organization.[15][19] He was among the first Google employees given the Founders’ Award, the company's highest honor.[5][19]

There are moreSacca's out there but they are discouraged from the tech industry these days.

It's so funny to see people on this board fall over themselves to link Ramaswamy to success bred from his superior work ethic and culture.

Dude is a certified pump and dump merchant whose biggest win is getting the CCP to invest in his sham company.

Also hilarious that his sham company had his immediate family representing 25% of the employees. Not surprising.

The average American student is lazy. Do you know how hard kids work and how much stress they are under at a young age to be able to go to continue their education?

You are a moron. It was not jocks drinking coffee and smoking a carton a day that got us to the moon.

It was nerds that got us to the moon. The really smart but socially awkward people.

I have no problem getting the best and the brightest from other countries and making them united states citizens.

In fact that is the way things used to be. We used to brain drain the rest of the world.

But now democrats bring the dumbest from other countries to live here. We need to stop illegal immigration and restart legal immigration the right way.

And for those saying these visas lower pay, I understand that. So the government should make it very worth their while to use American workers.

By stick or by carrot.

It was a combination.

Also, the actual astronauts were jocks. You have to be one to be an Air Force pilot and wind up at NASA.

H-1B is being abused. Do you really think we should be using it to hire accountants for McDonalds?

Left and Right don't like the H1B program. This is Trump's fault. He was right in 2016 when he went after H1B in the campaign, but this time he caved to Big Tech and is all in on H1B.

Eventually people are going to have to see Trump for what he is.
He is a guy that doesn't follow through, he has no first principles aside from pacifying his own ego, and like water, he just goes to the path of least resistance, rather than digging in.
He is owned by Israel.
He had RFK Jr lined up for a vaccine panel until Pfizer came calling with a big donation and did what Pfizer wanted and nixed that panel.
He flipped on H1B.
He tells people he supports 2A but he never has.
He launches DOGE then says he wants no debt limit.
He is the worst personnel manager in the history of our nation.
He is played by everyone with the same playbook, just stroke his ego and he'll do whatever you say.
He is ruled by his ego.
He is a campaigner but not a leader.
He lives for the attention and runs from the work.

Trump needs pressure and he needs a babysitter. If you just fawn and applaud, he will make one bad decision after another.

You actually ran for POTUS and then got on here and proclaimed Trump knew who were and was stealing your policy positions. Forgive me if don't take anything you ever say seriously.
