Even after the Tennessee beating, Kirk is still saying Indiana was the problem

The dude is a mess
How can he freaking ignore the game result he just called and simp for more sec teams?
Also, saying “we have to stop caring about wins” is pretty neat.

He was bashing Ohio State fans during the broadcast as well. Seems like he's in the "I don't give a frick anymore" stage of his career.

Good company man who also seems to be having a mid life crisis on national television

easy, the Conference he's backing has a massive TV deal with the network that employs him.
the conference he's railing against has a massive TV deal with the network that is the main competitor (in college football) of his employer.

Conferences can’t be this big. Or we need to go to like 10-11 conference games and 1 major out of conference game required.

You know he was fuming watch Tennessee look like the worst of any of the teams on the weekend
It’s funny how CFB is the only sport who seems way more concerned about getting the “right” champion rather than letting the results answer who the champion is
Even the NCAA basketball tournament doesn’t operate this way. We don’t spend 4 days discussing whether a Cinderella deserves to be in the elite 8 because they played in the American conference

There’s no solution to this problem with the conferences as currently constructed
Do you let an 8-4 team with 3 top 10 wins over a 10-2 team with one top 25 win in a weaker conference? It goes against reason that you would pick a team who lost 1/3 of their games but also you know that team has a high ceiling

moreover, it’s perfectly ok for him to call Buckeye games throughout the playoffs bc he’s obviously not biased towards the B1G or or afraid to call out tOSU during the broadcast lol

How do we “know” a team has a high ceiling. Why would these preconceived notions be important to consider? And if they matter, why play the regular season? Just throw Bama, Ohio state and the next 10 top programs in a playoff every year based on recruiting and transfer portal rankings.

Well if a team beats OSU UGA and Texas and those three teams go a combined like 35-4 then we know that team has a high ceiling. We also know they don’t play at that high level if they lose 4 games outside of those 3
Compare that to a team who wins 10 games but doesn’t have many games against good teams.
I’m not taking a side but I understand why people want the high upside team but also why play the regular season as you said.

Well, Bama had some bad losses, but they did beat the SEC champ that beat Texas twice.
But, I agree with you generally -- results have to matter. I know people are butthurt about the seeding. But, without the conference champs getting a bye, you're just basically going to get the SEC and B1G at like 1-6 all the time. You might even get a year with the SEC in the top four spots, mostly based on preconceived notions that the conference is the best. That would be terrible optics for the playoffs.

He loves blaming Ohio State fans after moving from Columbus.
When in actuality he’s just a garbage human being who consistently cheats on his wife.

Y’all are crazy thinking he hates OSU, his son is on the team. And he’s the biggest OSU cheerleader of them all. I agree with him that Indiana didn’t belong -or at least be on the bubble (they only beat #7 of the top half in the big 10) - but the talking heads didn’t start saying anything until after the game. No one one selection day was saying they didn’t belong. Tennessee is alright they just ran into a buzz saw, no one was beating the buckeyes that night. Howard had never played that well this year, and probably wont again.

Didn’t his other son just commit to Michigan?

Because he's an ESPN whore....who started the whole eye-test thing to gift Alabama Titles. The SEC IS ESPN.....that's how that Conference has dominated the narrative all these years.

The logic is that, Indiana, sans the garbage time TDs, was in a position to lose by 24-points to the number 7 team in the country.
And yet, after using that logic, he wants to replace them with a team that lost by 21-points to a 6-6 team.

Who plays that schedule? I love how people make the most extreme hypothetical examples “well if they beat the Chiefs and the Eagles but lost to Vanderbilt and Kentucky…..”

The closest to a schedule like that this year is UGA, they played 5 games vs the next 4 best teams in the SEC 3 on the road 1 neutral site and only 1 at home. They went 11-2. Good teams take care of business

10-2 is not the same as these pussy teams 10-2. Army should have been in.
