I'm currently playing NCAA 25 (The main reason I purchased a PS5). I enjoyed Spider-Man 2, and Horizon. I don't have PS plus, as i dont think i would use it. I was thinking of getting Diablo IV, but before any purchase I wanted to see what you guys recommend.

Thanks in advance.

Ok....I saw this one on a list, and God of War Ragnarok. I did enjoy GoW on the PS4 back in the day.

I will look into Ghost of T.

Thanks for the recommendation

If you enjoyed Horizon (I assume Zero Dawn), you’d likely enjoy Horizon: Forbidden West. Both modern God of War games would likely work for you as well. Ghost of Tsushima, which has already been mentioned, is excellent.

Cyber Punk 2077 is now an incredible game. Took a few years to get it right through patches but over all it my favorite game of this gen.

Has it come around on consoles? It’s definitely something I recommend for high end PC gamers, but I’ve avoided recommending it for consoles because I remember how rocky it was for them on release.

Dragons dogma 2 could be up your alley and relatively new.

Absolutely. Its been for the most part technically solid on PS5 and Series X since about 2022 but 2.0 patch, with changes to the skill tree, much improved AI and the Phantom Liberty DLC really took it to the next level.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm going to keep this list. I went with GoW solely because it was on sale.

I know you said that you don’t think you would use PS plus and I initially thought the same thing. The subscription isn’t that bad price wise and a lot of the games that are going to be mentioned here can be had for free or severely discounted with PS plus. You will end up spending more money outright buying these games by themselves. With the subscription you can get them and explore other games for “free” as well.

That being said, you would lose access to the games if you cancel the subscription. That is something to think about too. Overall I think it is worth it to have at least the low tier PS plus. I have the middle tier and enjoy it. The highest tier isn’t worth it for me as I don’t go back and play old PS1 games.

If we pay for the premium for the year does that mean we can “stream”, and play older games without having to download the games?

Not sure about “streaming” but it is extremely easy to download a game to play it then delete later. You don’t have to keep it on your hard drive.

Another thing you may want to look into is an internal or external ssd hard drive for more storage. I have internal SSD expansion for ps5 games and use an external HDD for ps4 games. No noticeable lag and super easy to install

I got an email about Astro bot being on sale.

My end of year stats showed I played Diablo iv the most this year.

I don’t know how it is now, but those in the classics catalog that come with the premium tier you streamed.

So like ps1 and ps2 games.

I haven’t purchased it in a while because I just never really played the older games or cared about the game trials.
