Anybody have an explanation on why Trump is targeting Chip Roy? I thought he was a good guy?

Roy is an idealist. He wants cuts now in turn for his vote for debt ceiling raise. Trump wants to do the debt ceiling raise now to get the political hammer out of the the way to disarm. Roy will not vote yes on that debt ceiling raise now, without cuts. Dems will not support cuts. But I think Roy is short-sighted here. He should get Trump's word for cuts and give his vote? Roy needs to be pragmatic not idealistic.
