Cal lost QB Fernando Mendoza and one of their most productive receivers to the portal. I heard that the 4th string freshman QB will be starting. Could be brutal.

36 non-CFP bowl games - and just 3 of them have 2 ranked teams playing one another - conference tie-ins are limiting ranked vs ranked in non-CFP bowls -
12 ranked teams playing a total of 11 games in the CFP - including the Sugar Peach Fiesta Rose - then Cotton & Orange - before the CFP CG in Atlanta -
