Mixed emotions about Nuss staying

It's hard not to love Nuss because he bleeds purple and gold, but I'm not sure he made the best decision for himself and for LSU.
Clearly, Nuss has talent but he also has his limitations. As a player, I question him returning simply because he ran for his life many times and that was with a veteran OL - including two talented tackles that are projected to go very high in the draft. Next year, he will basically have a totally new and inexperienced OL in front of him, along with a new set of WRs - with the exception of Anderson - and that's not a recipe when your QB is strictly a drop back passer and your run game is almost non-existent.
As for LSU, I'm still perplexed as to how it got itself in this predicament at the QB position and didn't have another QB ready to step in, especially when you have the transfer portal available. Personally, I thought Nuss should go pro because we need a running QB that opposing defenses will have to respect and it can't just send the house because we have a QB that can't run.
I truly hope Nuss goes out and has an absolutely incredible year, but with a new OL, new WR/TE group and little to no run game, that's a lot of huge hurdles to overcome.

So the idea is we can go plop in the portal and guarantee an upgrade at replacing our veteran QB, but we have no possibility of doing the same in the portal at offensive line in the portal and with player development?

You probably thought Burrow sucked arse his first year as a starter here.

So many bad takes in one post. Have a downvote.

Not sure how any LSU fan isn’t ecstatic about Nuss returning. Nobody on the team and likely nobody that will be in the portal would be close to better than him at LSU next year. Him coming back is huge.

What is the point of this post exactly, other than to hand wring and draw attention to oneself?

How stupid do you have to be to believe that LSU will be better off without its fifth year senior in his second year starting, especially after watching Mett, JB, and JD?

I take it you gave yourself a thumb’s up because that is some dumb shite!

Had he actually chosen to run for his life this team would have won more games. This is something he will work on in the off-season and will show out even more in year two. So glad he's coming back!

Seriously? So you think Nuss should have thought to himself, "I should go pro because LSU doesn't need me any more?". We'd likely be screwed next year without him.

Careful bud. Unless you suck Nuss’s dik…you’ll get no support here.

You should keep a diary, and talk these things out with yourself in there instead of on a public forum.
And consider bullet points in outline form.

Nuss has always loved LSU.
Proof? What talented QB would come back and risk injury with no top O Linemen nor top WRs.

And to take it further, just think about getting that portal QB who has to learn a new offense and pair that with an inexperienced OL.

Ran for his life? W3 gave up like 4 sacks on the season until the Florida game.
