True freshman that started a good chunk for State this year. Threw for 1800 yards, 11 TDs to 7 INTs
Would be an ideal situation for LSU to have him backing up Nuss, and then potentially taking over.
Not the biggest guy in the world, but I thought he showed he can play in the SEC

“Could be”. You let them compete and figure that out. Not a single thing I’ve read or heard makes me think Hurley is even close to being a guaranteed starter at LSU at any point in his career.

I think you give Hurley a large chunk of snaps in the spring and then make the decision if you need to grab a QB out of the portal.

Don't see why the sudden love fest other than cope. Rings like the Nuss Bus crowd while Jayden Daniels was preparing to win the Heisman. I'm no fan of Nuss but he's multitudes more talented as a qb than Hurley. Imagine a less accurate Nuss. That's Hurley. A poor man's if you will. No thanks. I prefer not to return to the golden age that was the Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee period. Our defense isn't good enough to support that.

That would be a good get. Similar attributes of JD5. Could redshirt and sit behind Nuss to learn the offense and them be the front runner in ‘26
