This dude is legit. I know everyone wants Key and dont get me wrong he is good. But Brown has an extra gear of speed that Key doesn't have. I think if we get him itll end up being a huge addition with Nuss throwing him the Ball instead of Kentucky's awful qbs.

While everything you say is correct in comparing Key and Brown, the problem is that Brown isn't a good technical WR.

Key is a much better WR, Barion is a return man / ball in hands gadget player at this point

I like Brown and wouldn't have any problem having him on the team.

I just think Key or a WR like Key pairs better with Aaron Anderson.

Really loooooove having him for KR too. Could really help get us in some decent field position at times and probably a couple extra tds. I think he has 7 KR for TD’s?

You are right Key is probably a better overall receiver, stronger, slightly better hands, but we need a deep threat desperately and if you watch Brown's 23 tape I feel it show's who he can be with decent qb play. Great hands and very slippery after the catch.

The main thing I am getting at is Brown is something to celebrate if LSU gets him, even if Key may be a little better overall.

Agree with this. Watch his KOR against Florida. That was NFL return man stuff there.

There were discussion about this in other Barion threads but the concern with him is he's never been a good WR in 3 years at UK. Key has been solid.

Barion can be electric with the ball. But his hands are not reliable and he struggles to beat coverage. When he does outrun coverage deep he can have a hard time tracking the ball and making the play.

He definitely needs some work to play WR. As of now, he's most effective as a Zavion Thomas type of gadget player/return man

There's some Jameson Williams in him.

I'm just being objective. I know the player well.

Hankton turned Anderson from a possible bust to a stud WR in 1 year. I think he can figure out Brown who has 3 years of experience.

Anderson was always a good technical WR. He was coming off a significant knee injury at Bama. He’s clearly 100% this year as compared to last year coming off that rehab

Anderson didn't look anything technical last year. You can't blame that on injury. He is actually running a real route tree this year. All they did last year was throw him screens

Thanks! That answered my question. Reading reviews on him they did not seem to give him much credit for speed or hands. Looked like what the doctor has ordered for LSU.
