Would they be in a better position by giving Barkley a huge deal? I think not. They're about to get a new HC and have a top 5 pick.

They messed up giving Daniel Jones all that money.
It would be one thing if Barkley went to an AFC team or something and had a great year but to go to a division rival and even be in the MVP race. Yeah.

Because it is unnecessary to fire them in midseason. Keeping Barkley would have been stupid for them given the rest of the roster he would not be close to having the MVP type season if he was still with the Giants
