Pickett’s highlight reel is full of him playing free safety and WR, not outside corner…

He also seems to be a legitimate 6’3”/6’4” (towered over Patrick Peterson in those pics).

Am I missing something? Why does everyone think he’ll be a lockdown outside corner? Does he even play that position?

Might be more suited for a free safety Kyle Hamilton type role or even as a WR.

He's a corner. Close the thread.

You have clips of him at outside corner or seen him play?

Legitimately curious.

I was thinking same thing. Only 6'4 CB i can think of is Brandon Browner. I can't imagine him being able to cut with some of these 5'8 WRs. But i haven't seen much film either.

Yep, I’m actually curious. Corner at that size is rare. And his YouTube highlights are mostly free safety and WR.

But everyone is just responding with joke replies lol.

Very few successful 6'2" + corners. But if he's a dude he'll find a place on the field. We need both equally so Im not worried about it. Just need him to be something. 22,23,24 db signing classes appear to be absolute disasters.

His height does make you pause when talking about him being a corner but turn on his film and he’s twitchy and very quick in short space. He moves like a corner at 6’4” which is very unique. I guess that’s why he’s rated as the number 1 corner in the nation lol

"I don't even know if it's an argument," Kelly said. "We believe he's hands-down the best corner in the country. I don't know that I've ever felt that there is a lockdown corner, but he's about as close as there is to a lockdown corner in the country. And his offensive film might be as good, if not better."

They’re gonna bulk him up and let him play that Rashad Lawerence role.

Several times I’ve seen lock down corners be moved to safety later in high school career to cover more of the field as opposed to being avoided every throw

Sherman was 6'3 or so but a zone corner.

Pickett is more athletic. Guess we will find out soon during bowl practice

I think with the need at safety and his skill set, he may start at safety and stick there.

Put this thread to bed he’s a corner. Dude has ridiculous fluidity for his size he legit moves like he’s 5’10 despite being 6’3 enough with the safety talk

Tariq woolen is a better athletic comparison and height one. Woolen is 6’4, has ridiculous hips for his height and runs a 4.2
