UFC 310: Pantoja v Asakura (12/7/24)

MAIN CARD
Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Asakura
Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Ian Machado Garry
Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volkov
Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie
Nate Landwehr vs. Doo Ho Choi
UNDERCARD
Anthony Smith vs. Dominick Reyes
Vicente Luque vs. Themba Gorimbo
Aljamain Sterling vs. Movsar Evloev
Randy Brown vs. Bryan Battle
Chris Weidman vs. Eryk Anders
Cody Durden vs. Joshua Van
Michael Chiesa vs. Max Griffin
Chase Hooper vs. Clay Guida
Kennedy Nzechukwu vs. Lukasz Brzeski
Stacked card with the prelims just as strong as the main card.
I look for Shavkat to handle Garry. Kron Gracie onto a main card, let alone fighting in the UFC again at all, is frickin gross. Will be interesting to see if Anthony Smith, Aljamain, and Reyes fight their way back on main card. Weidman now fighting as an early prelim. Guida always brings it.

Has to be one of the best cards of the year. There doesn’t seem to be a wasted fight on the entire card (women)

UFC 311 is even more stacked, looking forward to this card though.

Median pay in the UFC exceeds median household income in the US and that median level is people fighting once or twice a year and not in title contention or main card / headline stuff. That median level is pretty much all entry level fighters, new to the professional side. That's not too bad.
It doesn't take many fights for them to move up, and their income then goes up pretty dramatically. I think the fighter pay stuff is overblown. I would like to see UFC do away with the uniform fight kits, though. I remember some fighters talking about how they increased their income by massive amounts through their fight kits.

What organization pays more than the ufc?
Also I think overpaying the fighters would have a negative effect on the sport. Look at the highest paid fighters and their activity level.

How many fighters are people willing to fork over $90 for to see on PPV? Would you pay $90 to see Cody Durden vs. Joshua Van as the main event?
I think Pantoja takes it as an insult that Kai gets the championship fight in his debut and will try to make Kai look bad. I hope Kai KOs or submits Pantoja--not likely to happen, though.
I'd be shocked if Ian Garry can beat Shavkat.

I can't remember which promotion it was, but they had guaranteed money for the fighters, not based on individual fights. What happened? Fighters stopped fighting and they went under.

Rooting for Shavkat. He's one of my favorite fighters. That dude looks like he has Ghengis Khans blood flowing through him lol

Ok, two finishes to start the night--KO and submission.

I’d love to see Bryce put Kron in a twister and tap him

It makes me irrationally infuriated that Cody Durden hasn't adopted "Tyler" as his fight nickname.

Stupid by Anders. Lucky Weidman wasn't a bitch about it.

Leave those gloves in the ring, Chris.
