Time for a new one. What do yall recommend?

I tried out the purple one and the sleep number one. Seems like maybe overkill. But i do want a good mattress. Gotta have a king size, but not california.

TIA

For your troubles:

Foam latex, lots of good brands, not hot like memory foam.

Do whatever you want with the mattress but an adjustable platform is a game changer.

I'm kinda considering returning our platform and mattress just to get a split setup. Since it's inevitable you and a spouse won't agree on sleeping with it adjusted.

It's amazing. And I had a cold right after getting it and it's a life saver. No waking up in the middle of the night feeling like you're drowning

I enjoy the arguments that break out over the best mattress.

My conclusion; there’s a lot of good and affordable mattresses on the market because posters come out of the woodwork to recommend the one they recently purchased.

However, most of the recommendations are recent purchases, so who knows how long their recommended mattress will last.

I have started searching for a mattress a half dozen times and always get overwhelmed at the choices and give up. I believe I am going to go with a conventional-type mattress that is high quality like Sterns and Foster. No pillow-top for me this time because those frickers invariably sag after 6 months.

Sterns and Foster Estate Deluxe. If you don’t want pay out the nose don’t let your wife lay on that one when you go to mattress firm. All of the foam ones feel Ike shite by comparison.

That said, it’s really nice and you spend 1/3 of your life in bed so why not.

We bought the Luxe Breeze Tempurpedic. Best bed we ever had. It was also $6,000+.

So yeah...I have no further comment on my stupidity.

Tempurpedic Luxe Breeze Adapt with an adjustable base. You'll sleep good and be cool (temperature wise). Tempurpedic has a 10 yr warranty but will last you about 20 years.

We spent $7500 on a Tempur pedic hybrid and I have more back pain now than I ever did with the Stearns and foster we had for 8 years prior.

Just draw brands from a hat.

Opinions of mattresses are as varied as there are people on this planet. I've given up on reviews. For every firm mattress, half of the reviews say it's too soft and for every soft mattress, vice versa. And that's for every damn mattress brand out there.

I bought a new "medium firm" memory foam mattress a year or two ago that feels so uncomfortably firm to me that I bought a 3-inch topper for it. My wife has always maintained that the bed feels soft.

I loved our old spring coil mattress. My wife claimed it was too soft and felt like she was sinking into it.

I’m looking for a mediocre mattress. Best mattresses suck.

My wife is a mattress actress and she swears by the Luxe Breeze.
