What the self-important entertainment intelligentsia are watching when they're not sniffing their own farts.

Dune Part 2 is literally the only thing on either list that I've seen.

I've watched Anora and A Real Pain. Both were good films, but it's definitely a down year, IMO.

I loved Anora. Still my pick for Best Picture. Not sure when I’ll get around to watching The Brutalist which seems to be its biggest competition

Sadly, no. I did start The Big Lebowski yesterday for the first time, though.

I’m mostly a TV guy right now, some of those are good picks… The Bear, Hacks, Shogun, Shrinking, etc.

But for God’s sake, True Detective: Night Country? No way they watched it, if they put it on 10 Best list. 10 worst maybe.

I recently got around to watching it. This board was right, that season sucked. I can't believe how boring it was.

Make it your 2025 resolution. Perfect sci-fi.

At first I thought A Man on the Inside was A Man in Full with Jeff Daniels’ ridiculous Foghorn Leghorn accent. That and Night County would have been too much for me.

Night country is so terrible. I’d almost forgotten how bad it was

Of all of those, I've only heard of Dune and Wicked, and I've only seen Dune. Dune was kind of a disappointment for me.

Ok so I looked up the movies to see if I'd be interested in any of them.

Anora - Hooker with a heart of gold type movie

The Brutalist - Another overly long WW2 Holocaust move

A Complete Unknown - Bob Dylan, never been a fan

Conclave - Another look at how bad the Catholic Chruch is movie

Emilia Pérez - Another "You Go Girl" movie cartel version

Nickel Boys - Reform school movie African American version

A Real Pain - Another Holocaust movie

Sing Sing - Animated animal movie

Wicked - Wizard of Oz the musical

None of these seem like they'd be of any interest to me.
