the christmas lights show at the LSU ag center off Essen lane. $20 per ticket for all ages 4 and over plus $10 to park. I think this buys you a 30 minute time slot for viewing. Family of four would be $90 bucks.
Any of you OT ballers been. Does it come close to being worth the money?

I went this past weekend. It was neat but not worth the money. At the end, they try to sell you s'mores kits for $8 each.

They were advertising this at the corn maze in October. I thought my family would enjoy it, so I looked at the website. Saw the price of tickets and it was a big nope from me. I hope people are not going so they will lower the cost for next year. Im gonna take my daughter to the BR zoo lights festival which is much cheaper.

The cost of this shite is outrageous now. It costs $35 dollars per person to see “Celebration In The Oaks” in New Orleans. They’ll take $10 off the ticket price if you buy a driving tour ticket as well, which is a robust $40 per car! So all in for a family of 4 it’s $140.
I’ll let you in on a secret, it isn’t worth $140

Why does it cost that much?
Land: public
Salaries: public
Utilities: not much
Lights: probably paid after one night
Profit: N/A
I feel like everyone is trying to milk the shite out of you now instead of just asking a fair price.

It’s all about fundraisers now. Their expenses go up faster than their tax revenue (of course this is because most nonprofits waste money in a way that makes governments blush)

Ain’t no way I’m paying to look at Christmas lights. Go ride around a neighborhood

Don’t tell anyone about this secret…
The best place for lights is Lafreniere Park in Metry.
$10 per car if you pay in advance, $15 per car at the gate,
Nice driving tour, then you can park and see more lights walking around.
Food trucks selling stuff.
Place for kids to write and send letters to Santa.
Go early (open at 530) or on a weeknight. Around 7 on weekends the line backs up pretty bad. Enter on the south side, via West Napoleon
