seems like we'll get seven of these Thansgiving weekend matchups before a reevaluation.

Oklahoma is not a permanent opponent. No schedule is set after next year.

I don’t hate the OU matchup to end the season.

Was hoping the eventual solution would be OU vs OSU & LSU vs Tulane

I feel bad for any of you guys who didn't get to enjoy college football 20-30 years ago. Today's game is an absolute joke.

They probably will be. Nobody knows what the SEC schedule looks like moving forward, but literally every other SEC team has a rival to play end of season

I miss the college football I grew up with. A true BIG12, BIG10, PAC-10, SEC and ACC. These super conferences have taken away annual matchups I loved. For example, LSU-Auburn was a staple and it doesn’t happen now.

Should be Mizzou vs OU and LSU vs Arkansas to end the season

Arkansas-Missouri isn’t a real rivalry. LSU and Missouri could easily alternate playing Arkansas and Oklahoma.

be thankful, because if OU puts bedlam as the last game of the year, LSU is going to get shafted.

nobody else in conference has an opening that weekend.
Arkansas/Mizzou have both really embraced that rivalry, so that one is most likely staying put.
And every other SEC team is playing an in-state opponent.

that leaves just LSU looking for a foe.
and who in the entire country (that doesn't already have a rivalry week opponent) could LSU schedule that would be anywhere as close to the marquee matchup the LSU/OU can potentially be every year?

agreed....and watching the Netflix swamp documentary, man florida and auburn played some awesome arse games.....we just wont see those any longer. yeah, we get oklahoma at home....not as prestigious to me as the old matchups in the SEC.

LSU is not going to get both Ole Miss and Arkansas as permanent opponents.

Can you not see the writing on the wall? Every other program has kept their "traditional" final regular season rivalry weekend matchups except OU and LSU. Aggies got Texas. It's absolutely staying like this. SEC isn't going to change that.

so last week of the season, possibly jockeying for playoff seeding and you want LSU to play Tulane?
instead of a big matchup against OU?

seriously?

True but SEC has chosen to keep it.

True, I guess we’ll see what they decide for 2025

Is CFB a joke or is Brian Kelley a joke?

Tennessee plays Vandy

UGA plays GA Tech

It’s okay to play the little bro

As long as little bro is willing to play all the games in Tiger Stadium.

Georgia plays Ga Tech and does so on a Friday giving them 24 more hours to prep for the SEC Championship Game. Meanwhile almost every other SEC team plays a charged opponent (Tennessee getting Vandy is the exception that isn't usually much of a game)

What about those of us who did get to enjoy college football 20-30 years ago, and have absolutely enjoyed this season as much as any (from a CFB fan standpoint, not specifically an LSU fan)?
