Interesting that all three of our new defensive coaches have an Alabama A&M connection.

I think all will be on the same page and Chief will have complete rule over the defense. I was concerned a few months ago that Malleveto would be demoted and we'd bring in a new coordinator and Malleveto not march to the same beat whoever the new coordinator would be, but we don't have to worry about that now.

If we can get some folk like Al Wilson, Little and Knock Thompson, it would be nice

Now that Haley is in and Coach O is out, can anyone give insight into how Brick should do in recruiting and coaching skill as compared to had things with O worked out?

Sonny says Haley was known as an excellent recruiter at Miss St. Haley also coached two years in the NFL compared to O's one year. I'd say they are probably much closer than people think.

One advantage with Haley is he has also coached linebackers so he is more versitile than O.

I don't know but it may have been the best, chemistry-wise, for the staff that Haley is on and not Orgeron.

I've read that Chavis supposedly wasn't too crazy about working with Orgeron and neither were some of the offensive assistants and it's a notion that I don't think is too wild.

No doubt. I don't think Miles lost any sleep over losing O to Tennessee. I would guess that Haley is a better fit on a Les Miles staff than O.

Really BAD hire. Weak resume and coaching background at bottom feeders. (Miss. State, c'mon gimme a break) We discussed this the other night. Not going to rehash it all.

Why do you hire someone to coach DL, whose playing and coaching background is linebacker? Our talented DL's need an experienced DL coach to bring out their talent. This guy AINT it.

Liked the Chavis and Cooper hires, but NOT this one. Les could have and should have done better than this. More questionable judgement. No way this is the best LSU can hire to coach defensive line..........
