Clearing some brush and came across this guy. Looks like garter snake but looks huge for one. About 3 feet

That's a garter snake. Kill it, skin it and make your ole lady a garter belt.

Ribbon snake IMO because the side stripe is further up the side than a garter.

Every snake in my area that has that appearance is a Ribbon(white scale in front of eye and no bars on lower jaw). If I have encountered a true Garter, I was not aware of it.
