Was just tough tough tough. Say what you want but LSU didn’t play the likes of Mercer, Massachusetts or New Mexico in weeks 12 and 13. Instead we had an upcoming Florida squad and a stingy little Vandy team.

This was a gauntlet of a schedule and looking back honestly the USC loss was bad but man we were in all 3 other loses well into the 3rd. Just didn’t execute. But don’t call for BK’s head. Truthfully not his fault. Think about that.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. LSU needs 3-4 players on both sides of the ball and a solid punter away from making a title run should Nuss come back.

We didn't play Texas, Georgia or Tennessee this year.

USC is 6-5 this year.

This was likely the easiest schedule Kelly will have his entire tenure and it's one of the weaker schedules I can remember for LSU.

Florida had the toughest schedule in the country. LSU did not have any of the top three teams must likely to make playoffs. Add Georgia, Texas, Tennessee to schedule and then talk tough schedules. By comparison, LSU had one of the easiest schedules.

It was not a easy schedule. I would describe it as a challenging schedule.

It’s the SEC, always challenging. Before the season, we all said this is extremely favorable schedule. Factor in uscw sucking. I’m glad we won last night but still an underachieving team

We'll see how that finishes.

USC was a top 25 team and they're 6-5

We didn't play one team all season that's going to make the playoffs. Every single team on the schedule is going to finish with at least 3 losses.

6-5 USC
4-8 Nichols
8-3 USCe
4-7 UCLA
6-5 South Alabama
8-3 Ole Miss
6-5 Arkansas
8-3 A&M
8-3 Alabama
6-5 Florida
6-5 Vandy
6-5 Oklahoma

That's about as weak as it gets for an SEC schedule with P4 out of conference opponents.

76-57 combined opponent record with only 4 of the 12 teams for sure finishing with a winning record and 0 of them going to the playoffs.

Gonna say it again- Kelly won't get another path this easy.

Probably should have lost to Gamecocks and Ole Piss. Schedule was very manageable for an SEC top tier team.

3 out of our 4 losses, we had the lead late into the 3rd quarter

Pretty sure that is a meaningless stat. The game is 4 quarters long.

Not one single team finished with less than 3 loses

You got Ole Miss and Bama at home and no team on the schedule is going to make the 12 team playoff.

You can describe it however you want but it's a weak schedule comparing to LSU's standard schedule.

We got lucky and avoided all 3 of the top ranked SEC Teams with Texas, UGA and Tennessee.

The standings suggest LSU will actually end up with a perfectly average conference slate. It’s unbelievably symmetrical

We avoided both the top 3 AND the bottom 3. All 8 of our games were against that middle 9, to mixed results

Avoided
1
2
3
8
9 (ourselves)
14
15
16

Played
4 L
5 W
6 L
7 W
10 L
11 W
12 W
13 TBD

No shite. The point is, they had a chance to win all games except Bama.

Until next year when most of those teams are starting new QBs

That's objectively false. Only one team we play again is for sure losing their QB. Ole Miss with Dart

DJ Lagway is freshman for Florida
Marcel Reed is a freshman for A&M
Tayler Green is a junior for Arkansas
LaNoriss Sellers is a freshman for USCe
Jackson Arnold is a sophomore for OU

Milroe MAYBE goes but likely back
Deigo Pavia depends on the lawsuit he filed

So out of the 8 teams we play again-

1 for sure will have a new QB
5 will have the same guy, barring injury
1 very likely will return because his draft stock is plummeting
1 depends on a lawsuit

Not sure how that's most of them replacing their QB
