He now has 3458 passing yards this season. He trails Jayden by 354 yards. For as bad as some people think he is, he’s had a hell of a season historically for LSU football

First year as a starter too. If he can clean up the turnovers, run just a little bit, and have a decent run game like we had tonight he could be even more legit

No one thinks he is bad. His decision making has been bad at times. Tonight he finally had one his best games. Taking what thr defense giving him. They played zone so took the top off but allowed underneath passes.

Not turning the ball over helps greatly. The run game working was a help too.

so I just looked at the career stats and with a couple of 250 yard passing games to close out this year and if he comes back and throws for 3500 yards, he'll be LSU all time passing yardage leader.

He’s done this with the worst WR group in a long arse time too. That group can’t get open to save their lives and they haven’t made a single tough catch to help him out all season aside from Mason Taylor

He's thrown 460 passes.

Jayden threw 327 passes last year, that's 133 passes fewer and still has 354 more yards.

That is not good at all, that someone that threw 133 fewer passes than you had 350 more yards than you.

I do not get how people don't understand the concept of Yards per Attempt being the most important metric any QB could have.

Agree. Get his head straight and he can be as good.as we have ever seen here have heard it from someone that really knows this evening He just needs to figure out who to get the ball in the hands of, continue to play with confidence, and try not to have so many ups and downs. What I mean by that is he gets very hyped and that’s cool to see but those ups lead to downers also. You simply cannot keep that level of hype up a full game (Dart is another example of this). Just be steady.

This is something I noticed tonight that I don’t think I picked up throughout the year.

Besides Anderson, we don’t have that ‘dude’ at wideout. I think Lacy is serviceable but he doesn’t have that ‘wow’ or ‘it’ factor that our previous WRs like Nabors, BTJ, Chase, Jefferson, etc have had. Same with the rest of the group

Anderson was open ALLLLLL night long. If nuss ONLY looked at Anderson all night he could have been 17/17 328 and 3 TDs

I think he is bad. He has thrown 133 more passes than Jayden. Jayden had 327 attempts, Nuss has 460. Jayden still managed to throw for 354 more yards, while throwing the ball 133 less attempts.

OP conveniently left out how he has thrown 133 more passes than Jayden and still trails him by 354 yards.

Nuss passer rating is 136.3 before tonight. Jayden ended the year at a 208.0 rating. That trails Jayden by over 70 points.

Nuss had to throw that many times by the run game sucks. Look at how many times Daniels ran. Daniels has a better long ball and throwing to 2 WRs that stretched the field.

So the comparison is not really the same by the 2 offenses were different. Daniels was the entire offense rushing and throwing.

I get that but there is at least hope for improvement if he returns next year

Daniels athletic ability masked so many issues for this shite offensive play calling and team. He did more for LSU than LSU ever did for him.

Exactly. The offense was tailored to Daniels. He flourished within it. Look at what he is doing in NFL. The system LSU is running is not tailored to Nuss strength.

It's was daniels 4th year starting. Daniele's was awful vs auburn, Arkansas and a&m in '22. This is nuss first year.

It was actually his fifth year starting. He started 3 years at ASU

So he sucks because he's not as good as the Heisman Trophy winner who had a historically great season last year?

Wow standards have changed since Jefferson & Lee.
