Yeah the AD Schoyer can care less about football. Basketball is where he’s spending the money. Heck, it goes Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball then Football for how they spend the money.

Multiple fights throughout the game with multiple ejections. Then big fight with cops separating the teams at the end. Been like this all season and nothing has been done about it.

I am currently embarrassed to be an alumni of McNeese State University.

LSU chants STTDB at every opponent. If there's anything embarrassing, it's that.

Used to go to McNeese games all the time when I lived in LC, but haven't made very many since moving away 11 years ago. It's a shame what the football program has become, but even worse to hear we have a bunch of thugs on the team.

Football is too expensive and the alumni won't pay what it takes. They've always been cheap as hell. Viator was making a little over 100k when he left. I think it was last in the Southland

Now that all the teams in TX won't let them cherry pick talent and other LA programs will pay more, they're screwed.

They definitely have botched the past few coaching hires and could be better, but what does better mean? Who cares if you're in the middle of a dying 1AA conference every year?

Was there better talent around the Lake Area in the 2000’s? I was too young to remember the good McNeese teams.

Most of the high school talent in the state is centered around New Orleans or up north. Once you couple that with the plethora or FBS and FCS colleges in La and Tx, I’d choose those places over Lake Charles.

It was a good mix of Louisiana kids overall but from what I remembered they had some a few local kids. Within 2-3 hours of LC

During their run in the late 90s/early 00s, they also hit East Texas hard. I don’t think that is the case today.
