A good NOLA article.

quote:

Although some microfracture techniques were used, it wasn't a full-blown microfracture surgery, which is typically used to cure exposed bone. Bush said there was no exposed bone in his knee.

quote:

"This is my job, this is what I love to do, so it's frustrating. It's nobody's fault, but I won't allow it to happen a third time. Two times is enough. I'll do everything possible to make sure I'm 110 percent. I'll push my butt more this year than I ever have, because of the injuries, and because I owe it to the city, I owe it to the team. I don't feel like I've lived up to the expectations that I have in my own mind."

A little Tebow-esque?

very similar, but people won't agree with me because he hasn't lived up to expectations the way Tebow has

I think Reggie is coming into his own, mentally; I think he's a clean bill of health away from a productive year. Go Reggie!

When I read that, it sounds like Bush has decided to give 100%. Does this mean that Bush has not given 100% in the previous years. Don't say that he going to give 110%. It's impossible to give more than 100%.

It's like Deja Vu all over again. I believed him when he said that in '07, and again in '08. Now?

Don't talk about it, be about it.
Reggie ain't bout it bout it.

honestly, he might have had a great year if he hadn't gotten injured.

I don't blame reggie himself for being a bust so far. Just his natural injury prone ness.

It definately did seem like a new reggie at the beginning of last year though.

Players talk a lot of shite. If you have watched the NFL long enough you should know that (Owens, Shockey, etc...). One second they say they are commited to winning and giving 110%, and then the next time you hear them when things aren't so great they are throwing the team or a teammate or coach under the bus.

Wasn't Reggie just saying how he's just an employee here, that's all? He doesn't call the plays he just gets a paycheck? Hmmmmmm.......

If you are 110% committed then PROVE IT! That's what I say. I'll believe it when it happens.

Look people at game 5 or 6 this year people on this board were arguing whether or not Reggie was a leading canidate for MVP, if not for injuries he would have had a great year. It seemed to me he was 100% commited in the Vikings game.

Look, I'm not saying I don't like him or don't want him to be. Hell, in the off season and last year, I was getting flack for defending Bush and saying how good of a player he is. I just want him to be productive and be used properly on the field and not be force fed the ball at RB. If he really is committed to this team, he should be willing to take a more special teams/player role once we sign Brandon Jacobs and have him in the backfield with Thomas.

To me, Reggie Bush is a pussy. Until he does something about it, he'll stay a pussy.

Now that would be a backfield. I argee he should be used in a flanker type role, but he does have running back ability imo.

He has run-away ability. And, he's not even that good at it.

Sure I would. After his microfacture surgery, I'm sure I could get away from him.

PS, after all you've seen from him in three years, you don't think he's a bit of a sissy? If not, you're just blind, man.

I knew somethign was wrong when i heard an interview before the second season started(edit: maybe it was after deuce got injured now that i think of it?) where he said:

It's all about longevity in the nfl, being smart and not taking unecessary hits and getting out of bounds when you can.

I guess it has worked out really well for him, he is closing in on the consecutive starts record with this conservative approach.

I don't have anything against reggie, he just hasnt been very much to the team ona consistant basis. I'll be the first one to praise reggie if he ever breaks out of the bog.

Thats what im talkin about. You can question what he's done on the field thats fine, but you keep throwing around words like "pussy", "sissy", etc. The guys' an nfl running back. If he was a pussy he'd be selling insurance. Its not like he's missed games over hang nails, he's missed games because of knee surgeries. The bones in his knee are rubbing together when he walks, what do you want him to do?
