Pay a proven veteran qb in the portal?
I’ve been saying that the portal is better for the qb position. Now you’ve put all of your eggs in one basket and he flipped, but he could also be a bust. Who knows?
This is not to let BK off the hook bc the portal and now recruiting has been lackluster.

You would think this season and what happened tonight would be the final nail in the coffin on his whole "build your team off of HS recruiting" model, but I honestly doubt it.

I don’t know who is out there and won’t pretend to know but two that did come through the portal that weren’t necessarily the hottest are Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels.

Dillon Gabriel, Cam Ward and Will Howard are all probably leading their teams to the playoffs this season. All transfers. I don’t know who will be available this year, but I would think there will be talent.
