They went up a while back, its now $4.50 if your vehicle is less than 20' long, $10.50 for 20'-35', then $21 for anything over 35' long. Lots of people have been complaining that they're just now getting toll bills from months back with late fees after never having received any previous bill/notice.

There was something in the news recently regarding this. There is a scam going around with the GeauxPass. You may want to call before paying.

The most BS part of this is they screwed the "middle class". The toll used to be based on various things and had 8 Classes. They combined Class 2 through Class 7.

In 2023 my 1/2 ton truck + 5x10 trailer was $6.50. 2024 it is now $12. Im now in the same class as DOT Class 7 Heavy Duty 33,000 lb delivery truck.

The Mrs. and I both got one showing vehicles/tags four hours apart. We know its real because we went to CCA Rodeo in separate vehicles back in August...surprised it took them 3 months to mail the bill.

That new section that connects to the back road ain’t gonna pay for itself!

Wait until it connects all the way to highway 90 in 50 years….

Surprised the marinas in Fourchon and Grand Isle haven’t raised a giant fuss about it. $21 toll for a pickup towing a bay boat has to be putting a hurting on the marinas when it comes to people heading down for a single day trip. Bet almost all of those people are just launching in Leeville or Golden Meadow now

Now imagine being a property owner down there and in addition to the crazy property tax (both parish and town of GI) and garbage fees, every time you go down there with a 10' utility trailer to cut your grass or bring sxs, etc. back and forth, not to mention boats and campers, you have a $21 charge on your geauxpass account.

On top of building a connector to 90 they want to build a second span from Golden Meadow to Fourchon. I doubt anyone reading this ever lives to see that and cars are probably flying by that point.

I understand the need for the rate increase but they should've kept the old per-axle tiered structure but I guess this way lets them cut cost by not having to have someone working a booth to count axles. It still blows my mind that I pay the same $21 pulling a boat or trailer with my pickup truck as when I send an 18 wheeler down there with a 90' stretch flatbed that's 130'+ long and 80,000lb.
