Elite CBs need to go to a school with other elite CBs in the class.
With elite CBs on both sides, the offense won't be able to pick on or favor one side or the other. If they want to pass, they are more likely to pass to both sides.
If you're an elite CB without other elite CBs, you're rarely going to see passes to your side. Your responsibilities won't get any targets, and you won't get the opportunities for PBUs or INTs.
With two five-star CBs, the fame and notoriety is NOT diminished by the other CB. Instead, it's multiplied.
Announcers, journalists, and analysts will talk even more about the combo CBs. Every time they mention one CB, they'll mention the other CB. They'll talk about no-fly zones, DBU, interceptions, and the death of opposing passing offenses. I think everyone remembers how much folks talked about the LSU 2011 CBs.
Only LSU has three CBs in the Top 20. Pickett is #1, Phillips is #4, and Anding is #18.

If we can hang onto all three, they’ll all be on the field next year.

Need elite receivers so they can compete every day

Those 3 with an improved PJ Woodland in year 2 could be epic.

I think they all start next year at some point.

Could legitimately have all three starting next as true freshman if they make it to campus.
The only question would be which two are on the outside and who's in the slot.

Pickett and Phillips will be on the outside, anding will man the slot. Anding can also play the outside but he has the skillset to be a lockdown inside corner. Fluid hips , ball skills and the kid can run. Pickett and Phillips both have insanely long arms so you want that length on the boundary

Stamps will lose his job real fast

He hasn’t made any progress this year. The best players need to play and he won’t be one of them. This is big boy football and now they’re all getting paid. Same thing happens in the NFL. You don’t produce, you get replaced by someone better.

He’s def the odd man out. A big reason he even started this year was the lack of talent in the room we had no choice but to play him. However, Pickett, Phillips and anding is a major talent infusion. Each of those guys are significantly better athletes than stamps if they learn the playbook fast I don’t see how he starts over Pickett and Phillips. If all 3 show up ready I wouldn’t be opposed to moving stamps to safety that’s a position we need a ton of help in

Agreed this is a performance business and he has flat out regressed since the USC game.Stamps ideally is a cb3 or 4 starting him on the boundary is a result of the lack of talent we have in the room. He does not have the athleticism to be an sec outside cb

Is Zy Alexander back next year or is he gone?

Jamar needs to work with him this off-season and he'll be fine

Unfortunately I think think this is Zy’s Covid year. Would love to have him back to teach up the incoming DBs, however. He’s the most dependable guy we have right now.

These 3 with Woodland will be ridiculous. Phillips and Pickett on the outside with Anding/Woodland on the inside
