Travis, Josh, and Patrick multiple times today. Don’t like it, rubs me the wrong way. Yes, I will continue to yell at this cloud.

Just seems unprofessional to me, and I wonder if CBS has encouraged them to do it.

Of all things to complain about, this is the weirdest. It’s literally their names

Summerall and Brookshire used to call the QB of the Cowboys "Roger" all the time. Kind of a strange cloud to yell at.

This isn't exactly new. A lot of stars were known by their first name.

I kind of get it if they have a unique name. Like calling Tyreek Hill by his first name I get, but yeah not the ones you listed

More of an observation than a complaint, though I fully realize that I framed it as one.

Tigerdroppings’ obsession with bitching about announcers and PBP guys is fascinating to me

Have any of yall ever tried it?

Seriously. Turn on a game, mute the tv and call it for yourself and see how difficult it is. THEN try to remember that these schmucks you cry about have to do the shite for 3.5 hours

Record yourselves doing it and post it here. I think it’ll be funny

You make it sound like a really hard job that takes a lot of skill. I beg to differ.

That phrase is older than Boomers. In fact, probably only Boomers still use it. How's your Member's Only Jacket?

Maybe its the military in me calling people by their last name.

Announcers used to refer to Shaquille O’Neal as Shaq. I don’t recall them saying O’Neal.

Listen to local high school football announcers on the radio and get back to me on this.

Why?

Do you think it's unprofessional because it normally isn't done. Are you under the impression that conforming is always equated to professionalism?

Just curious, are you a “change for the sake of change” guy?

No, but I noticed you didn't answer my question.
