CJ's return is going to be huge. With no Dejounte and no Jose, we really need someone who can handle the ball.

Did you not see how we looked with cj handling the ball the last two years ?

We won 49 games last season with him handling the ball…

That statement isnt really accurate We played better when he was off ball. We survived his on ball minutes.

Yeah, it's not ideal, and that's why we got Dejounte. It's also a whole level better than BI and Boston handling the ball all the time.

Very true.

Yeah, we're past thinking CJ is a point, but he will be one of 3 competent ball-handlers we have healthy. If nothing else, he will cut into the number of possessions that BI or Boston have to fight just to get the ball up the court.

I predict he'll return on Tuesday in Dallas. That'll give the team some practice time with the team on a 2 day break.

Any quality starter is a welcome addition.
Just need to figure out a way to tread water and win a few more games until Jones and Murray come back. I've lost all faith in fatass, he needed to come into the season in shape. He needs to go.

Most 3 pt makes per game last season at a 42.9% rate... can't come back soon enough.

I will never understand the CJ hate on this board. Ever.

If we can survive in the standings until we get healthy, there's definitely a silver lining to all of these injuries in that
1) None of them are season-ending, and while they have been out, there hasn't been the opportunity for them to sustain season-ending injuries.
2) Our main guys will have fewer miles on them by the end of the season. Everyone agrees that an 82-game season is bad for player health.
I think back to last season, and even if Zion hadn't gotten injured in the play-in game against the Lakers, we still would've struggled in the playoffs, because JV and Larry were mere ghosts of what they had been earlier in the season JV was quick and agile early last season and very slow late; and Larry started the season terribly, sat out for a while with a cracked rib (and got other procedures done), came back amazing, and then was beset with his nagging injuries and was ineffective by the end.
The upshot of this argument is that these early injuries actually enhance the odds that our team is healthy and at its best in the postseason. It's why I haven't been participating in all the dooming here lately.
