In today’s media landscape, corporate interests, political agendas, and sensationalism often drown out the truth. But there’s a new opportunity on the horizon. What if we launch a bold initiative to buy MSNBC and transform it into an independent, viewer-funded network that is fully American-owned—serving the public, not private interests. Together, we could reshape the future of journalism in a way that puts truth, transparency, and fairness above everything else.

No. Legacy media is a dying business model.

Would you buy Blockbuster?

CNN is probably going to go that route.

There are already independent networks

Also NPR is partially funded by the public and is still shite

Yup. Call it Real American News and report news.
Any programming that is only opinion based, label as such. Begin podcast type longer form interviews. Report news as news and honestly.
It would get viewers.

It would be incredibly funny if Elon bought it but I seriously doubt he would be interested

Yeah, Elon buys it and has it report the actual factual news without all the bias. People would come back to watch that.

Just stream all of the popular podcasters on there. It would be very cheap and would get massive ratings

This is the only reasonable answer. You would at least get 50-60% of truths from Alex.

Hell yeah!

I'd can the lot of the hosts there right now, and replace them with ChineseBandit58, Vox Dawg, and several other folks from our Poli board right here. For a highbrow opinion piece full of obfuscation in order confound anyone who thought they understood the new format, I'd like to fill the slot with SFP and AggieHank on a weekly rotation.

Fr33manator could provide a Paul Harvey-esque "The Rest of the Poetry" in the evenings and work as the chief investigative reporter to fill out his role.

So yeah, I'd purchase MSNBC in a heartbeat if I had the available funds and I'd make it damned successful with the help of a huge cast built of of the folks right here.

I would buy it and turn it into the WWE channel. It would probably get much better ratings than what they get now.

If I had Elon Musk money, hell yes I'd but it. Then I'd send out invitations to all the top podcasters to have remote shows on Christmas eve from there. We'd have the biggest bonfire lighting the way for PaPa Noel (DGT).
Wouldn't it be glorious for him to fly in on a highly advanced secret antigravity sleigh shout Ho Ho Ho, I'm back!

I can’t even think of a company whose name is so fricking poisoned that there is no f*cking way for it to come back. However, PMSNBC and CNN are definitely in that category.

The Washington comPost, N.Y. Slimes, 60 Minutes, CBS, NBC, and ABC are at the brink. Unfortunately for them, their entire divisions are just so infiltrated with far left f*cking whackjobs who lack any sense of f*cking self-awareness that they’re probably goners too. They would have to seriously f*cking clean house and hire real journalist with a wide range of political opinions to survive. but, like I said, they completely lack any level self-awareness to make that happen.
