That's where I live as the great Rush Limbaugh used to say. The fact is Kelly ain't going anywhere no matter how much whining and bitching that is done here and on social media. If it was a normal contract with a normal buyout maybe but we still need to wait till the year is over. But all these people are doing is creating an atmosphere where the 2025 recruits might want to bail. Not because Kelly lost some games but because the unrealistic emotional fans are screaming for him to be fired.

To say that Kelly's teams are soft is to deny 2022 ever happened. He took a much less talented team with a QB that would not throw the ball downfield and a defense that was patched together at the last minute and won the SEC West, beat a Saban Bama team and then developed a heisman QB the next year so to say he can "never" do it again is disingenuous. Yes he is due criticism and yes they should have played Bama better than that but the fact remains that he will be here another 2 years and he does have 2 great recruiting classes ready to come.

How about we criticize but still support and hope he gets these guys to sign and get the Jimmys and Joes that we don't currently have not to mention the depth. Then if he still fails at that time there may be other options. It's LSU. We will always be able to be relevant again. But constantly posting Kelly needs to be fired on social media will only guarantee that we continue to have issues.

I am not a kelly guy I am an LSU guy and the best thing for LSU right now is to try to win the rest of our games and get the 2025 class signed. Anything else is emotional suicide from grown men no less.. Unless you are personally ready to write the check. That is what living in Realsville means.

frick outta here

Sorry we fricking expect the 8th highest paid coach in the nation (with a top 5 highest paid coaching staff in the nation) to have AT LEAST a top 12 playoff team in year 3

Brian Kelly goes 6-6 minimum if Nuss was the QB last year and Jayden Daniels didn't bail us out. Let's not forget Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. being top 5 WRs in the HISTORY of the program. 2 guys he didn't recruit.

quote:

Yes he is due criticism and yes they should have played Bama better

We lost by TWENTY frickING NINE at HOME. A complete and total fricking catastrophe in YEAR 3

quote:

How about we criticize but still support

Do you think all of a sudden that we aren't supporting? We are literally posting on a niche fricking sports blogging website. We all love LSU and that's why we are voicing concerns

quote:

But constantly posting Kelly needs to be fired on social media will only guarantee that we continue to have issues.

Bull fricking shite. Kelly is paid to get results and he hasn't in year 3. This is the easiest year EVER to make the playoff and he found a way to frick it up.

quote:

I am not a kelly guy I am an LSU guy

You certainly are making excuses and criticizing fans who don't agree with Kelly's gaslighting and bullshite so yes you are a Kelly guy

quote:

Unless you are personally ready to write the check.

Always boils down to this with you clowns. Always. "Can't criticize and raise valid concerns because you can't pay a $65 million buyout that our retarded AD made but yes you fan are the problem." frick you loser

Yep. That's why all of the bitching and whining to fire Kelly is just emotional BS. After 4 years of Biden I am worn out and not going to let anything ruin my good mood right now. The best thing any LSU fan can do is to criticize but continue to support and hope he gets back on track. That's it. There are grown men spending every day bitching and whining. I get it but this isn't life or death. I want LSU to win just as bad as the next guy but I also understand what he has coming in 2025 & 2026. Pick your poison but if you want to see a turn around it starts with the Jimmys and Joes. If he is still struggling after that then I'm pretty sure you will see the usual group get together and write the check although it will still be financially difficult.

Kelly’s not going anywhere soon, so it makes sense to stay focused on the rest of the season and getting the 2025 class signed. All the noise about firing him could hurt recruiting more than a few tough losses. He’s shown he can win big, and while criticism is fair, keeping things steady right now might be the best move for LSU’s future.

Coaches salaries and buyouts are absolutely outrageous and obscene.

Bottom 9

Sounds like an appropriate name.LOL. Thank you for proving my point. I can only hope you are not over 35 yrs old.. You are no more an LSU fan than I am. You are just more emotional. It's Ok. One day you will be more mature. Or maybe not. There is nothing wrong with criticizing Kelly but screaming for his firing IS emotional BS. It will accomplish NOTHING positive and could have NEGATIVE effects on the program so no you are not an LSU fan your are a Kelly hater. If you truly were an LSU fan you would want to get the #3 class signed and you would hope he wins out. So just like the recent elections is your hate for Kelley more than your love for LSU. I believe you have answered that.

Nabers is rightly considered a Top 5 LSU WR of all time. Leads with career receptions (189), 3rd for a single season (89 in 2023), and 13 for a single game (2023, Miss State, good enough to tie for 5th best). Receiving yardage, Nabers is also #1 in career yardage (3003), 3rd for a single season (1569 in 2023) and his Miss State game in 2023 yielded 239, good enough to tie for 4th best.

Thomas should rightly be considered a great LSU WR, but is not in Top 5 category, IMHO. He did catch 68 passes in 2023, good enough for 10th best and at 1177 yards, that is good enough for 7th best single season. He also caught a lot of TD passes (3 more than Nabers, tied for 3rd all time at 24; and 17 for the season 2023, also good enough for 3rd best). He does not appear on any other Top 10 lists for LSU WR stats. I'm not sure there is a strong argument for him being Top 10, outside of career reception total and TD catches.

This is not a knock on Thomas, but rather an objective analysis. IF we think of Jamar Chase, Josh Reed and Malik Nabers the Top 3, certainly Wendell Davis, Eric Martin, Michael Clayton, Brandon Lafell, Justin Jefferson, Dwayne Bowe and OBJ all get slotted ahead of Thomas, again, IMHO and based on objective productivity numbers.

LSU fans are presently living in Wrongsville because someone gave out a 10 year contract to a football coach without enough strings attached to reduce years of contract due to poor performance.
