Hanny and Ott were talking on live at lunch. Jimmy said something to the effect of:
“When was the last time has Kelly been to a high school game? Maybe he should spend less time on the golf course.”
Didn’t think the local media could air out a little dirty laundry.
Edit: I guess what I’m implying is that there’s more to it than “he’s not recruiting”. I took it as “well, it can’t just be/or is recruiting.”

Man Ott is dead on. Kelly should have visited every high school in this state by this time. If he does not go to each of them and to many of the High school games he is missing the boat on recruiting trail. I know he is full up busy but this is a must to keep many of the in state kids.

The issue is Kelly is only allowed a certain amount of visits. The head coach is not the same as an assistant in that regard.
Also what does it matter? His recruiting isn't the problem on paper. His development and coaching/hires are. Going to all the high school games isn't fixing that.

That's what the assistants and coordinators are for. A head coach is only allowed to do so much as far as visiting high schools, while the assistants and coordinators can basically free roam. Hes the CEO, he sees them once they get on a visit to LSU

This is why our recruiting class for 2025 is abysmal. He’ll never sign any top recruits on a golf course!!!! Rabble, rabble!!

So why do I see videos of Kirby or Sark or Saban landing helicopters at high schools before games?
Can you provide a link which lays out how many high school visits a head coach is allowed?

It isn't now, but Kelly's early classes left a void in the secondary, DL, and a first round talent at WR. As far as why we can't run block, I got no answer for that one.

It’s stupid to complain about this when we just signed a top 5 class, are about to sign a top 3 class for 25, and already have a great jump on 26 and beyond in-state. Recruiting, especially LA recruiting, isn’t an issue at the moment. There are real issues. They should focus on that instead of conjuring up bullshite.
