Hi again, folks,

I wanted to expand on my earlier post in asking what we could get for Fat Zion in trade. One suggestion came back - a 1st and a Vet.

The point of expansion is this ....if we 'blew it up' and traded Ingram and CJ, what do you think the collective value of the three trades would net ?

I would like to see several 1sts akin to what we got with from the Lakers ... am I being too optimistic ? Not sure CJ would net a first, but pretty sure BI and Fat arse could get us a three or more.

Have a great day .... and thanks in advance for your responses.

I honestly wouldn’t want Zion on my team if he was given away for free. The Pelicans would have to be the team attaching picks to Zion for me to even consider it.

Unfortunately you are being a bit too optimistic. CJ is a good player but hes in the opposite side of 30 and makes 30 million. BI contract expires after this season. So even if hes traded this year you won’t get a full year from him unless he agrees to a max extension with that team. Zion as you know has conditioning and injury issues. This all complicates and devalues their trade values.

In the AD trade he was in his prime, in the middle of his contract and wanted to be with Lakers. The Lakers had to trade for him. Didn’t really have a choice with Lebron pressuring them. Nothing like that here in the current situation.

You’re way off. AD is a much higher level player than Zion.

With his injuries your best deal might be Claxton and the Bucks pick from the Nets with another 1st along side that.

And thats fine. You’ll be better off building away from the headache cause you’re not getting what he should be worth

I agree there will be an owner or fanbase desperate enough for a star. That they see that glimmer from Zion and think they can make that guy right. Honestly my money is on Portland- plenty of young assets- and no star. Try to sell them on Zion to get some of those young pieces.
