Almost my entire family on both sides is MAGA.
My SIL is a Democrat, but she is sane. It doesn’t bother her at all.
Even my gay BIL voted for Trump.

Stand firm! An election shouldn't stop those closest to a person from alienating them. It's sad to see...
But when the smoke settles, bring that back up with them and hopefully they'll see how foolish they were.
In other words, take the high ground. Be friendly and cordial to the point that it forces them to look in the mirror. That's how you take small steps to fix the brainwashing.

I have done nothing but post American flags and said it is time to unite. But they know I am conservative so it went bad. I'm not the type to poke the bear

Nothing. My old 77 year old hard headed mother started with her stuff, and I replied "the people have spoken, and they are tired of the woke shite and I am too". That pretty much ended that. Thing is my mother is a Southern Baptist, and if she took a blind political quiz would probably be 90% in agreement with Trump policy, but she still thinks this is the old Democrat Party and is also heavily influenced by my gay brother. Other than that all my family and friends are DEEP Red especially my wife, son(26) and daughter(23), as well as daughter in law and future son in law. Great times at the family table.

An elderly friend with dementia has finally turned off msnbc. I've visited him twice since the election and he is watching old westerns.
He legit believes everything they spewed on that channel and would dementia rage on anyone that mentioned trump.
Yesterday he was concerned he would lose his social security and health coverage. I showed him trumps to do list that shows he promised to preserve Medicare. He said... well that's good. You have no idea what a big deal that is. Me and my wife were a bit in shock lol
Just last week he said trump wanted to murder Liz Cheney and rfk has brain worms lol. If he manages to keep the t.v turned off of msnbc he will dramatically improve his life. Watching that shite legit makes him angry...without it he is a totally different person.
