I get it's Loomis, but I am simply stunned at his arrogance

the man is legit pissed off he had to fire one of the historically bad head coaches in nfl history. he accepts no responsibility for the roster he constructed. he takes no responsibility for the cap. he takes no accountabilty for the season other than it was injuries not us.
I get it's early on a saturday morning and he has always been this way, but this is just unbelievable to me. there is no way this man should still have a job making decisions in the saints (or pelicans) organizations

I’ve always disliked him since he exhibited the same behavior back when Haslett was fired. He was on WWL radio one day acting the same way one day shortly after everyone was fired.
Of course this was when the internet age was in its infancy, so it was never a blip on anyone’s radar.
People have attributed the Saints sustainability to him (lol) when it was Brees/Payton the whole time. He’s a nimrod

He drafted well early in the csp/Brees era.
Then got cocky with all these asinine trades and destroyed us

Payton drafted really well, yea

That's selling King Nimrod really really short comparing him to Lord Dufus!

They really hit on two drafts. 06 and 17. That pretty much carried the success along w/ Brees of the Payton/Loomis era.
They made a bunch of horrible picks along the way. Especially early mid round picks.

He annoys me far greater than Dennis Allen.

That’s not true. But even so, the offensive system them allowed them to plug & play just about anyone with great success, up until Brees started to decline physically in the late 2010’s

Yeah the thing that stands out to me the most is there's really nobody holding him accountable.
We've been a middle of the pack team the last 2 years, but if you look at some of the records from other teams the last few years, there's been a lot of mediocre to really bad football being played
I mean look at the records of a lot of teams right now there's about a third of the league who are doing really shitty. He's gotten super complacent because it's like he almost knows he can get away with it. I know it sounds sick, but the ego of some of these m************ these days is incredible.

Loomis has been playing it safe for far to long. He risked nothing in the present and got exactly that. Nothing.

Cool story bro alert….
I met Loomis with my dad randomly at the team hotel once. My friend was an equipment manager and my dad played college ball with Fred McAfeee. So we surprised my dad by reuniting him and Fred.
Anyway, Loomis was at the bar and my dad started chatting with him. Well he eventually says something about how every time we go to a game on the road they loose. Basically just joking around and stuff. I guess he didn’t give a shite about talking to fans or just in general but Loomis goes, “well how about yall don’t come to games anymore.” He said in it such a smug way like it felt like he really meant it. I thought he was joking at first but he wasn’t and made it kind of awkward. So my dad stopped talking to him and he definitely lost our respect after that.
This was during the Brees era in St. Louis when we lost for the last time there. So he’s always been a smug arse.

Allen had to go, but Loomis is more responsible for our record.

Goat? He’s just non over-reactionary. I certainly don’t think he’s ever been some loomis lover on here.

Maybe the election has got him off his meds or something.
I liked the glory years with Loomis but that was a few years back. I used to argue with him as he wanted more from the GM in those days and I was fine with him. But damn that was awhile ago.
