Battleground States for 2028

The map is extremely favorable for Republicans.
It's safe to say all 7 swing states from this cycle (Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada) will once again be considered swing states in 2028.
Nevada and Pennsylvania are trending Republican.
Georgia is the only state on the list that is trending Democrat.
I don't see the Democrats playing offense at all, there are no other states that went Trump they will even attempt to flip.
However there are a few blue states that were close enough Republicans could think about playing offense. New Hampshire, New Jersey, and New Mexico are candidates. Minnesota and Virginia were also "close" but are fools gold to chase IMO.
Regardless, assuming Trump's presidency is successful and the country is in good shape, the map seems favorable.

If enough bureaucrats are given walking papers northern va may no longer control elections

PA was fool's gold before 2016.

We're gonna have to play defense in North Carolina again. Libs continue to migrate to Asheville, Charlotte, Research Triangle and the coast. But local Conservatives stay in the state and this election rattled their cage.
But the strategy going forward is twofold:
(1) the Ohio-fication of the Rust Belt.
(2) the continued conversion of Hispanics
Accomplish those two goals and nothing else matters. The predilections of central Virginians and 'This old House" New Hampshirites can do as they please.

When will Oklahoma finally produce a blue county?

I made a meme where Pennsylvania was a football, the GOP nominee each cycle was Charlie Brown, and Lucy kept pulling it away.

New Jersey could start to turn, especially if Trump can continue to make inroads in Essex (Newark) and Hudson (Jersey City) because he improved markedly from 2020 in those counties. If Republicans can expand Trump’s margins in the 5 counties that flipped from last election, it will be close. New Jersey could also elect a Republican Governor next election. They came close last election and people are outraged at the cost of living and local issues like the Democrat’s push for offshore wind.

Virginia will be red for a looong time if Trump 1. Eliminates or guts agencies 2. Spreads them across the country.

Good way to visualize swing states
The states int he middlish are the ones that will be flip candidates.
Republicans have a nice cushion on their states, way more Blue states approaching the line.

Georgia , Arizona , Pennsylvania and Nevada also have democrat senators up for re election in 2028 . I would think those states could get a little more focus . Especially if we win one or both of Arizona and Nevada this year . We are at 53 now and I would think Kemp runs in 2024 and wins Georgia back .

New Jersey would be cool.

Population is trending southern, more than northern. Can't let libs invade North Carolina. Would love to somehow get Virginia but you would need to dismantle government agencies there.

Texas and Florida, the second and third most populous states becoming more red, substantially this cycle is a shock. And they're both heavily urbanized

Very favorable Senate map n 2028 if you can get through the tough 2026
Can take that GA seat back and with voter ID, NV is winnable. Fetterman's seat will be up in PA and that's Vance's seat in Ohio.
