There is no getting along and the absolute best thing a Trump administration can do is ram through all the shite we want without compromise.

I hate them. I hate them all. I hate every last one of them. To me, every single person who voted for Trump condemned me and my gender for being strong and capable. I’ve spent my entire life being a strong and capable woman and yet Trumpers want us to be submissive ninnies?
I have already cleared out my friends, family and business associates (as much as possible as I live in Texas) who are Trump idiots. I did that in 2016.
I am only a few months away from full retirement and when I get to that point, I intend to become a complete hermit and just stay away from them all.
Hate is not healthy, I realize, but I will not EVER forgive them for handing MY country over to Putin willingly and easily, and slapping in the face EVERY principle that EVER made this country great.

They are completely unhinged. Just the thought of having even the mildest of protections on abortion has made them lose their collective minds.
They have lost a big part of their humanity. They are the exact same as a wounded and cornered wild animal. You should avoid them at all costs. They are unpredictable and believe they have the right to use violence on anyone trying to protect the sanctity of life. They are basically just evil at this point.

If these miserable fricks would just have a normal, nuclear family, they wouldn't have time to sit around seething every second of every day.
Listen losers. Get out of your house. Put your phone down for longer than 10 minutes. Go catch a ballgame. Or a play. Or whatever you're in to. Go have a nice meal somewhere without your phone. Go with someone you can talk to about stuff other than politics. If you can't do any of that then it's a YOU thing.

I can only think of one true liberal woman that I know and interact with daily. Haven't said a word to her about the election. Politics aside, she's genuinely likeable and there's no need to cause myself any personal or professional grief.

I think both liberalism and conservatism as we know it are dead. Liberalism has almost turned into a new conservatism of clinging onto the 90’s ideal of “history is over” with the linear natural “progression” of things that they obsess over with social issues. Conservatives have turned more into a “look to the future” while incorporating American traditional ideas and values. Idk what you would call that, but listening to some of these new people on our side, it really feels like we’ve taken the “the way of the future” ideals right out of the Democrats’ hands. You can see it in the way the youth vote is tightening. Kids don’t want crusty neoconservatism, but they don’t want gay space communism either.

I have this exact scenario, but he's a more classical liberal in age and ideas. We've discussed politics in the past, but no mention of it at all from either party. We discuss work and other things
