Probably the only other guy that’s really tradeable. We wouldn’t get much, likely a very late conditional pick in this year or next year.

But…it would save us 4.5 mill that we can roll over to next year. Would help a lot.

Getting rid of him probably improves our picks though too. He isn't great, but he's better than our backups

Send him on. The rest of the season is a wash. Start the rebuild now.

If I was Detroit. I would be looking for help on that Dline. I would be calling my friend Loomis.

I believe Detroit made a trade for a DE yesterday, but I would take a conditional 7th in 2026 for Young.

The Salary rollover helps us more

Someone has to want him though. Want him enough to take on his salary and give up literally anything in return.

I hope someone does but we really haven't heard any rumors yet.

Holding out hope

With Young being a free agent, what chance is there to get a compensatory pick if you let him walk this offseason?

I'll take a 5th or 6th since I wouldn't give him an extension past this season

Detroit just traded for Za'Darius Smith (who is better than Young) for a 5th and 6th, sending back a 7th.

I think the market now is either the Bengals or Packers. Likely for a conditional 5th with us sending back a 6th.

But yeah, we need to trade him.

49ers got a 4th for him leaving. If he signs a similar contract with a new team we will probably get a 4th or 5th rounder for him as long as we don’t sign anybody to offset that this offseason which I assume we won’t based on our cap situation.
Probably would have gotten a 3rd for Adebo if not for his injury.

Seems like it's better to just hang onto to Young and hope for the compensatory pick then.

He got traded for a third last year. And he’s played better this year. As a rental.

I think we probably want at least a 4th.

But will settle for a 5th.

I think they would take any pick someone offered. Getting some cap relief would be huge.

I imagine no one is offering anything if it doesn't get done

With a known health issue and questions about when he would be available.

I'd literally take anything.

He won't be here next year and us being able to roll over 4.5 mill to next year seems critically important.

Doesn't seem like its going to happen though
