With Republicans taking an 11.6% EV lead statewide, I'm starting to think Trump may outdo DeSantis 2022 win

And that shite was super blue in either the 2016 or 2020 election. Can't remember which.

It was super red in both.

Florida is hard red now.
Probably more than Texas.

DeSantis has really transformed that place. An incredible accomplishment.

There was a reason for the open border, and if GOP loses Texas now or at any time in the future its over for them.

Desantis' first order of business after election was to clean up the election frickery that had been ongoing in miami-dade and Broward counties for years. Florida has been securely red ever since.

Dems were cheating in South FL for years.
Ron ended that.

Desantis busted the illegal voting fraud that the Dems had operating, fired the one in charge down there, and viola … This scheme is going on in the other swing States……

To think we were worried he wouldn't win his first election.

In early voting?

Desantis' handling of Covid attracted Republicans fleeing Democrat strong holds.
I remember him telling the Dem mayors to pound sand when they tried implementing authoritarian restrictions.
He even told his cabinet members (mostly Halsey Beshears) to GTFO when they tried to do the same.
Makes sense that it turned bright red and will be for a LONG time now.

Florida is now everything Texas once was minus the cowboy hats.
There are great people over there but the US conservative movement is unequivocally Florida based and has been for some time.
Trump
DeSantis
Huge % of the Freedom Caucus
Rubio is very influential
Dan Bongino
Sean Hannity
On and on
Good article on it from Politico of all places. Even the FL DNC has basically given up and only tries to defend safe house seats at this point.

I think Miami has had a Republican mayor since 2017.

Florida is now deep red.
Texas is wavering. People don't want to believe it but I worry Texas is on its way to being Oregon. I think the rural areas are simply going to get overrun by Austin, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio that are all getting more and more blue

They almost elected a cracked out gay black dude for governor in 2020 but other than that they've been pretty dependably red.
