Everyone knows he made a couple big mistakes last night but i believe if you built the right offense around Nuss meaning an above average running game, a good Play action game that the Defense has to respect he's a top 3 or 4 college QB this year in his first year starting. I don't believe there are many QBs that could play in CS last night with 24 yards on the ground and forced to throw 50 times that it would work out for. I know alot of people were down on him last night but you gotta give the guy SOME help out there. He doesnt have a running game or superstar WRs like our Heisman winners. Jayden wasn't Jayden his first year starting here neither was Joe. Nuss has shown alot of ability all things considered.

It is over. He had plenty of time to throw the ball, and his receivers had hands of glue last night. He single handedly lost that game, and his draft stock went from 1st round to 6th, 7th round, or UDFA. He should have sat out the rest of the season and been taken in the 1st round. Dumb move on his part.

The first INT was terrible. The other two were misreads on his part. The second really was a tough one. He struggled, but why we get out of the middle passing game is beyond me. We did the same against USCw. We moved the ball with the intermediate game then tried to run RB iso and 4 verts the rest of the game.

About all I can say is if we played that team 10 times with Reed as their QB, we would lose 10 times. He ran as well as Daniels.

edited Wier, where I got that name, God only knows.

Nuss looked really bad, but I told my wife that Tom Brady would have looked like shite in that game. Our oline, is a joke, and couldn't block a damn soul in the second half...

Average
Was bad in the second half. Looked completely flustered at times and threw ints because of it.

People seem to forget this since we won but he was horrible against Ole Miss

He decision making under pressure is just terrible and will cost us a lot more games if it doesn't get better

He is what he is at this point. He’s not Burrow and he’s not Daniels. Inaccurate. Mechanics are terrible at times. But big time arm talent. But I don’t think the play calling does him any favors. A strong running game and play action off of that, with these receivers he could be scary good.

He shite the bed, the WR dropped too many early, BK wasted a scoring opportunity at the end of the 1st half the kicking game was disastrous, and the defense disappeared in the second half.

All in all a poor performance.

The good new is that LSU has the talent to win out.

The bad news is Alabama is built to do what A&M did last night in the second half.

Will two weeks to prepare be enough? We will see.

I see is at either 10-2 or 9-3.

I tend to agree. Running game is just beyond atrocious. Somehow the OLine is still getting praised even though we are probably bottom 20% of the country in run blocking. Nuss is inconsistent but has a high ceiling and is much better than one should expect for the circumstances. He had the highest QBR in the SEC heading into last night. He is still my guy. Anything remotely resembling a second dimension would work wonders for him and this offense but they just can’t figure it out against moderately talented defenses.

I could not understand that. We were having much success over the middle, but then started either launching deep or throwing short sideline passes, to which they had gameplanned and were ready for. I don't know if it was Nuss or the play calling. Also, why target Hilton so many times. Dude can't even time his jumps correctly. He was clearly not in game shape. The middle was open.

The last interception was a great play/anticipation by the defender, as he sensed Nuss was going to have to dump it off to his check down out of the BF.....As you pointed out too, the 2nd one, the defender baited him. It is still experience with him, which he doesn't have a lot, especially in hostile environments. However, if he wants to improve, and help get the run game going, he will have to pull the ball down 3-4 times a game in critical situations and present a running threat. It would change a lot on how defenses defend us.

He's got happy feet and runs backwards instead forwards.

Should get better with experience/coaching.

He threw a couple of big interceptions. He made a lot of bad mistakes. Let’s get that straight.

He is who he was against UGA in the SECCG: a polarized gunslinger with bad footwork/mechanics who rides variance one way or the other.

Good Nuss is very good

Bad Nuss is very bad

There isn't much in the middle

He's been mediocre to absolutely terrible for 3 games in a row now
