Kid Friendly Bars/Restaurants to watch football in BR

I have been thinking about this a while and want other people's opinions and suggestions on where to go with the kiddos for happy hour cocktails and football. We have young kids (3 and 1.5) and enjoy taking them places as they are easy and mild mannered. We are wanting to go out for some afternoon football, food, and cocktails but no where in Baton Rouge besides Superior, Zippys, and recently, Vars have a great viewing area for games while maintaining a kid friendly atmosphere. In Texas, these places are everywhere - if you have been to Dallas think Katy Trail Ice House, or in Houston - Kirby Ice House. The closest thing we had NEAR town was Istrouma Brewery, but looks like they may be dealing with a renovation for an extended period of time. Open to suggestions, OT. Happy Friday

Around these parts we use our bars the way God intended, getting drunk and banging fat chick's.

Are you seriously trying to compare BR to Dallas?

Ok, you listed some places, go there.

Agile Brewery behind Ice House on Airline. Kid friendly, dog friendly. Has a decent menu and good beer.

There are flaws of each:
Superior - way too many people, not enough TVs
Vars - Atmosphere stinks
Zippys - Food Stinks and the new renovation is awkward

Rally Cap brewery is one of our go-to’s. Spacious, has board games, jenga, cornhole. The outside picnic tables are good for the kids but there aren’t tvs outside so that might not work if you’re trying to watch a game.

Main Event. There's a bar in the middle. Just let the kids run around and play in the arcade etc. while you sit in the bar area watching the games.
There are also several breweries around with outdoor areas that kids can run around and play games while you watch sports. I don't know how many TV's to watch a ton of games though: Le Chien, Istrouma, Rally Cap.

And they have a new pizza oven and make great sandwiches. They are dog friendly too, so you can bring Fideaux.

Does Curbside have outdoor tvs? Their outdoor area would be ideal for kids.

Are you looking for just a sit down style only? You can do Plucker's or Walk On's and they have TVs everywhere.
There aren't a lot of places you can just let your kids run around. Like you said, Var's and Zippy's are kid friendly enough to where your kids can play in an area and be fine.
