Oh, wait it was a Democrat so it will not see the corrupt, woke and soulless mainstream media.

How desperate the left must be...

I think the guy was in the Marines which makes the optics of this look even worse.

How is the reporter still alive? Is this a miracle?!? As per Biden, you can't hunt deer with an AR15 because there'd be nothing left after taking a .223 round.

He was shooting at a steel plate about five yards out with 5.56. He could be arrested for criminal negligence were the reporter hurt badly or killed.

Not that I disagree with how dumb all of this was, but your title is certainly misleading.

the amount of absolute insanity/dangerous negligence in this photo

-shooting a high powered rifle way too close at a target that can ricochet
- safety glasses on this head
- explosive tannerite on the table in ricochet range
-using the long range scope when that close?

It was not intentional but was exactly what happened. If a drunk driver hits a pedestrian he may not have intended to but still ran over the pedestrian. He shot the reporter through gross negligence.

In a lifetime of shooting guns including an AR 15 I have never seen what would be considered an injury from hot brass. Maybe a slight annoyance when it hits like when your plate is too hot. But nothing where one would consider treatment. There were several pieces of gross negligence involved including allowing the reporter to stand so close.

Did you ever see someone hit by hot brass that had a yuge want to write a tory about their wounds? Lefties crave victimhood, because they think all victims get paid.

It is similar to john Kerry shaving a sliver off of a bullet, implanting it in his arm, then getting his Purple Heart.
