Pay attention to the start time on this one. Will be a daytime card which doesn’t happen often.

Banger of a card. Topuria has dared Holloway to meet him in the center of the ring to bang it out like max is famous for at the end of the fight… but instead at the beginning. Just wow if that happens.

Imo this is the 3rd best card of the year behind 299 and 300. We have been needing one like this I feel like the ufc has had some issues with scheduling fights this year. Rest of the year looks good though.

I listened to an interview from max after and he didn’t seem committed to doing it. Gonna be interesting to see what happens.

I think he’s legit and he’s going to wax Whitaker.

Topuria is a savage. I foresee a war with Holloway.

Will Chimaev finally make it to the ring and in what condition?

Dana throwing Ige a main card bone for stepping up on ridiculously short notice prior.

Absolute banger of a card. Also, I assume this in the Middle East becaue Khamzat and Shara Bullet are on it?

As for Toporia vs Max, Illia is insanely effective at pre-fight mental warfare. In saying that, I don't think it's going to work on Max like it did with other opponents. Holloway is a former champ and those island boys don't break to that kind of shite.

I do think Illia will take him down and possibly beat him up for a couple of rounds. If max can survive the onslaught, he then has a shot, but Topuria is just an absolute bull in the Octagon with no known major weaknesses exposed so far.

The only guy Whittaker has ever really had problems with is Izzy in his prime because of his length and size and technicality. Khamzat does not have those advantages at 185. Bob has looked sharp as a razor his last few fights.

I think if khamzat can’t get this win early then Rob can take this fight. We seen khamzat struggle against a smaller Gilbert burns and he has had a lot of issues health wise since then. Whereas Rob has had some 5 round wars against monsters like Yoel Romero. You know Rob is game.

I would have bet my life a couple of months ago that the Chimaev fight would not come to fruition.

4 days to go. Don't frick it up now, Khamzat.

Whitaker lost to DDP. Then he beat Costa and Ikram. Everyone beats Costa now and Chimaev already beaten Ikram.

Topuria said he guaranteed that Max would be knocked out in less than 10 seconds. I'm expecting Max to march to the center and sling it for 10 seconds, then point to the clock, talk some shite, and go from there.

Max banging with a beat up Gaethje? Yes

Max banging with a fresh Topuria? I doubt it.

Huge fan of Max, he is an OG and part of imo the best era of fighters. But I like what Topuria is doing.

as for the rest of the card there could be some fraud checks.

khamzat vs whittaker. we havent seen khamzat fight any high level 185ers. whittaker is smart, durable, and very good everywhere. khamzat hasnt shown to have a great gas tank and alot of people thought he lost the burns fight and the usman fight was razor close and most people thought if it was 5 rounds he would have lost that one. not to mention khamzat has had some serious health issues.

shara vs petrosyan. petrosyan will be a big step up for shara. shara has been hit a good bit even fighting the cans he has fought that all had alot of losses.

definitely gonna look at some parlay options with these. one thing to take into account is that the fights are in abu dhabi so I can see some fighters having favoritism in judging.

Topuria is good and I like to watch him fight. The only area we haven't seen him tested in is the deep waters of late round fights, which max is incredible at. Max is a dog and his fights are always great. He's always prepared. I can foresee this being a banger. It's a hard one to pick. I don't see Max getting KO'd though. It'll either be a decision either way or Max by stoppage imo.

As for Whittaker, I can't see Khamzat winning unless it's in the first round. We've seen in his most recent fights where he begins to fade. Knuckles is so good. If it doesn't happen early, I could see this as a 4-1 for Whittaker.

I'm glad it's an early card. The cards lately have been going to nearly 1am

Really looking forward to seeing him fight again. He needs to fight more, but I expect him to win this one...and hopefully break into the rankings very soon.
