Haven’t purchased a vehicle in several years

Often with new cars, the manufacturer's credit subsidiary offers better rates than anywhere else, as an incentive to buy the car. E.g. not too long ago Honda was offering like 4.99% for 2025s and 3.99% for 2024s. Now if you have bad credit and want to finance for 96 months ...

The 0% interest rates being offered by some of the new car dealers ... but, of course, you'll not get much off the sticker at 0%.
Wait a little longer, that's about to change.

I've been eyeing a new ride. Really hope 2025 brings some better deals.

Wait till December if you can. I got 0% for 60 months on a Mazda CX-5 last December and they weren't the only ones offering good end-of-the-year rates.

Credit unions offer lower rates than banks if the dealer can't get you a good rate.

Maybe the manufacturer?
I obtained 1.9 % for 36 months through Honda. It beat anything else I could find. I believe 4.75 % was the lowest out there about two months ago.

Credit union for used. Just bought one at the dealership 2 weeks ago. Did it through Toyota financial as it was a last minute purchase. Refinanced 1 week later at much lower interest.

I purchased an 2017 Explorer Platinum in Jan 2018 and it was at:
A - Dealer discount: $6500
B - Manufacturer discount - $6500
C - Ford Credit 0% 60 months
December/January best deals. Timing is everything.

I'm sure I would on something newer. This was 8 years old though. Still cheaper than they're advertised rates. I will pay it off in a few months though so not too worried.

Best story, got 0.9 % on a certified Honda in August, had exactly 1k miles. Still had the new car smell. They used it for 3 months as a demo. Someone ran a red light and totaled out the car. Just paid the first note on it.
Insurance paid it off, but I Can’t get that rate now.
