I'm going to be in the market for a newer 4 wheeler at the beginning of the year. I need something fuel injected and 4x4. Id also like 4 wheel independent suspension. I have a Yamaha grizzly 450 and like it except the carburetor. I pull a 4x8 trailer with an engine drive welder, generator, compressor, and plasma cutter on it. Also use it for hunting purposes. Looking at the polaris sportsman 570. But I'm open to other brands. Any brands you guys recommend or suggest I stay away from? I'll be looking for a used quad and budget is flexible. Hoping to keep it $7k or less but if it costs more for a better quad I could do it.

I have a Honda Rincon 2007 and it’s be a great bike but not sure it would be great for pulling all that without a low gear in case you need it. I also have a 2023 Can Am1000R and it’s a beast with plenty of power and so far it’s been fun as shite to ride.

I’d probably look for a Grizzly or a smaller can am that fits your budget.

Have a Suzuki King Quad 700, its been great. More power than I need, and cranks every time.
Changed the voltage regulator once, that's about it.

I have a 10 year old Grizzly 700. Only have had to replace the axles. More power than you will need.

My property is flatter than Portia derossi so there isn't much terrain where I'd need a "low" gear but this little rig is a backup plan for if something goes sideways at work and I need to find some side jobs or sometbing. I'd like to do jobs that require a small footprint like this if needed.

$7k

Just buy a new kodiak 700.

Given hondas new fuel pump debacle it is easily the most reliable fourwheeler currently made.

You should NOT have to replace axles at 10 years…not a ringing endorsement.

Anything with a belt should stay in low as much as possible if pulling heavy a load. Helps on longevity of transmission/belt.

Replacing axles is not bad for 10 years. Could have rebuilt the CV joints but it’s much easier to buy the whole axle. I put my wheeler through a torture test sometimes.

We used to replace an axle on our 660 grizzly almost every year. The rear boots were always getting ripped. A whole new axle didn't cost much and was far quicker to change out than just the boot.

I've worked on a lot over the years.

If not a Honda get a zuk.

Watch the years Honda made the 400 AT. They were terrible. A few years they had the wiring with the recycled sugarcane type.paper internals. Rats loved chewing that shite all up.

Don't overthink it.

Then you should know all brands have that shitty soy based plastic coating on the wiring now. And that the axle tube bearing on wvwry honda straight axle after 2012 is crap. Or that every honda atv fuel pump after 2020 is crap.

Actually, thats not fair. The pump itself isnt crap. Everything from yamahas to polaris to other hondas use the same base pump.

What's crap is the failure rate on the honda atvs.

I assume it is because of higher back pressure because of a decreased fuel return flow rate. No cool fuel to cool the pump = dead pump.

The same pumps last forever in every other application.
