Announcers last night

I am never one to criticize the announcers because generally I think LSU fans in the heat of the moment take things they say out of context or get hung up on a play they got wrong but holy shite last night was awful. Off the top of my head
- LSU receiver catches the ball and you can clearly see his jersey and they say it's the wrong guy then correct themselves by saying it's a DIFFERENT wrong guy and finally and say we don't know who it is until one of them gets a call in his ear I guess and correctly names him
- RB tears off a 9 yard run on first down at a crucial time in the game and they take a break from their innane chit chat to say "he got a few yards on that play"
- the inexplicable miked up 13yo daughter of a random assistant coach on the Arkansas staff
- claiming the Arkansas QB tipped the ball to weeks while they're showing Burns on the screen at the same time in slow motion tipping it up
- saying nobody outside of LA has heard of LSU this season
over and over with this comment made in different ways
- the worst?? Laughing about Daniels getting injured when he was blind sided. No, not just once but they wouldn't let that go "ha ha he must have forgotten he was on the field" and "what a clean hit" and "you come to play football you better have your head on a swivel" the entire time Daniels is lying on the field with coaches checking to see if he's ok.
Damn right I'm salty. I hope we never have that crew call another LSU game.

They were not a good crew at all. The daughter thing was a head scratcher and I would like more of an explanation on that than the texas game

I don’t like Mark Jones anymore than what’s already been mentioned. But to be fair, the guy has been at ESPN for decades, before anyone knew what the hell DEI was. That’s like saying Clarence Thomas was a DEI pick. Do we just yell “DEI!” anytime we see a black guy do anything now?

My issue was the lobbying for targeting on Ryan when he clearly hit him in the chest with a shoulder I was not sure if Ryan was going to get hit with a defenseless player issue though.

The play by play guy we’ve had before and I think he’s done good in the past. The other guy wasn’t up to the standard for an ESPN level college game

They were awful. Announcers should be like cornerbacks, when they’re doing their job you don’t notice them. These guys were a chore to listen to. How do they get those jobs?

I agree. These two guys and the sideline dude have all been around for some time and there is a reason they are not top shelf. They are not as good as others in booth. We dont see them very much because they do a lot of third tier games.

You've never played fb I see. If your on the field offense or defense you better be ready to knock someone's head off if not that's what happens. It's a contact sport! For frick sake that's why we can't have defense like we use to. Bc of pussyification

Also late in the game after me and everyone else was already annoyed by them, Durham tripped on a run he *had* a lot of space but only gained like 3 yards and they were like big run there for Durham. I’ve never heard someone call a 3 yard gain a big run before lol

I was annoyed by the AFLAC trivia question being about Texas & UGA rather than the game they were actually broadcasting.
