I know most are probably labs but on this game day... I'd love to see the OBs canine companions and breed.

Peace!

Mine isn't much for the outdoors but he's been my best friend for 13 years now.

Goes every place I go.

He's over here snoring like a grown man

First 3 are of June. Last 2 are of Koa. Last one is of both the other day. This will be June’s first season. Koa retired after 8 because of a bad injury and arthritis. Love them both but the young buck has some huge shoes to fill.

5 year old gyp

Almost 5 year old male, and my primary tracking dog. Ignore the weird filter. Almost all my pictures of him are next to a dead deer.

My puppy. She's 14 months old and absolutely feral.

Just curious, what is the lifespan of hunting dogs(i don't hunt, just fish) vs if they didn't hunt?

A guy i talked who duck hunts, said his dogs may live on average 7/8 yrs. I asked why, he said because of the work(wear and tear) load of hunting for a dog. This guy said he hunts with 2 dogs now every hunt. They take turns. It was hard to understand on my part about the shorten lives of hunting dogs. Is this a thing? Dogs seems to love doing what they do. Are the physical vigors of doing what hunting dogs do, curb their lifespans?
