He's the first homegrown quarterback we've had since Matt Flynn, and the passing game has been a joy to watch.
Mettenberger, Danny Etling, Joe Burrow, and Jayden Daniels all had their standout moments, but their previous teams always got some credit for their development and maturity.
Nuss is the first quarterback in nearly 15 years that we can proudly say was fully developed at LSU.
Exciting times are ahead.

Mettenberger maybe but the others were developed here and no one else gets any credit for them.

I’ve never seen someone credit Ohio State or ASU for their development. They both took monumental leaps year 1 to year 2 at LSU. LSU deserves all the credit for that.

How is it that Mason Taylor is always so wide open?
TE is a big part of our playcalls yet no one is within 5 yards of him almost every time.

Lulz, even JD disagrees with you

Former Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels said Wednesday his time as a Sun Devil was the foundation for the NFL career he’s grown into.
“Started all this, laid the foundation. Obviously the people that recruited me here, I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me in my football career,” said Daniels, who played in Tempe from 2019-21.
ASU had a real moment developing pros under Edwards. Daniels listed Brandon Aiyuk, Rachaad White and Ricky Pearsall as three players he was proud to grow with. Aiyuk and Pearsall were each first-round picks and White was picked in the third, while Daniels was the No. 2 overall pick.

I am not saying Burrow, JD and others didnot develop at LSU.
Just saying they had their foundation else where ; even if it means failures. Those failures are a big part of becoming what they are today. So I stand by what I mentioned initially that we cannot claim 100% of their development.
And for JJ, Lee , Harris.... they had their success but dont think any opposing team had to worry about passing game as much during their time.
With NUSS we can actually claim we developed him fully into a future NFL prospect . At the moment ( mid season) I consider him as a potential 2nd - 3rd round draft prospect. If he continues to have the same success he will definitely become 1st round and I will not blame if he bolts for NFL.
